F4 seems pretty bad. Not a total disaster but it's a huge property and reviewed fairly well.

It's not bad at all and it's not remotely a disaster. Every entertainment outlet is saying this is a solid opening weekend. I'm not sure what you were expecting a Fantastic Four movie to open at. It already outgrossed the entire domestic run of the 2015 movie and its opening weekend almost surpassed the combined opening weekends of all three previous FF movies.

Fantastic Four is not a huge property. It's certainly not on the level of Spider-Man or Batman but it's also not on the level of X-Men or Guardians of the Galaxy.

Much like Superman, its legs will be important to watch. But as it stands, this was a good opening weekend.

I don't want to say how people should feel about this - it's not reasonable of me and anyway i'm not out to decide what the correct approach is. But it rubs me the wrong way to read posts (of which this is an example but not the foremost instance) in the nature of: I will not buy games from itch because i might lose something i paid for. Especially when something so much worse seems to be happening imo, itch was a bearing structure for indie and/or queer games of all kinds, and that structure has failed them. Compared to that... to say that the primary reason to drop support is because in a future you cannot predict you might lose access to something you've bought any amount of time before... it really reads like people are trying to model within what reason it is acceptable to say they are dropping support, and the first model they can think of is that of private property, and not that of, you know, solidarity with marginalized developers.

Even if this was true, the fact that they lost to the Republicans indicates going more "republican-lite" would be the best way to chase a win. There's no evidence to support the theory that chasing non-voters far to the party's left while abandoning the current voters who went for that "republican-lite" will win elections. You'd have to at the very least show evidence that those voters to the left exist in huge numbers and that shifting left won't lose you equal or more voters on your right and you can't do that. AOC polls at 10% or less in the party's primary polls, Harris+Buttigieg+Newsom alone are half of the party or more.

No doubt the rules are dumb and credit card companies shouldn't be taking the place of elected governments, but my question was very specific.

Regarding BG3, I'm not familiar with the scene outside of the little I've read (I'm not really interested in animated bear sex, unlike some freaks), but if there was a scene in a film or TV show played out as a serious romantic scene fucking a bear, you'd bet your arse that censorship bodies would be looking really closely at it, and rightfully so. 

The slippery slope argument always fails because there is always public outcry when these organisations take a step too far. However, arguing for including bear sex in your games is probably not the hill to die on and if they banned BG3, you probably wouldn't find a lot of support in the mainstream for unwinding the ban.
