The issue is that it used to be the interests that would connect people like video games, movies, JDM cars, sports teams, music, horse cocks whatever.

But now it's all about connecting with identity, politics and culture and it's all the same social media slop and most people have literally 0 personality because their entire personality is based on trans rights, hating men/women or jew hate or whatever. 

There are some groups that are still on the level. The F1 community is pretty fun, gym/health groups are rather supportive but it's rare.
It works the same way in other parts of life too "work culture" and "shared values". And most of the time people can't even articulate or explain what those culture traits or values are.

It's a numbers game. A normal person goes to a hobby forum and posts in a few threads every few days and enjoys themselves with like-minded people. 

The normal people just can't keep up with the retards like PostReportSmasher posting 50-100 times a day, every day. Sooner or later the retards dictate the culture. They also get rewarded with moderation because they're the most likely to be available and willing to do the job, so they start enforcing their mental illness on other people too.

almost nobody is 100% reliable for all things at all times, often for understandable reasons which might not even be their fault

all that matters is the help you got during the period for which they were reliable

Actually, no. Buttigieg has been accused of being anti-gay before because he has a monogamous marriage that basically looks like a hetero couple. So they'd probably argue that he's already well known for throwing queer people under the bus if they don't adhere to cishet norms. The fact that he wants trans people exterminated just fits the pattern of people he's willing to allow cishets to exterminate so he can hopefully rise in the fascist ranks. He thinks they won't exterminate him because he's one of the "good ones" who helps advance their agenda.
