This ad is nothing. Its existence does not push people toward any political ideology. However, vocal criticism of innocuous material like this gets picked up by Conservative media and broadcast as "This is what liberals/leftists/progressives care about. They hate white people, and want white people de-centered from media. Are you going to put up with that?" And that paints us as an overly-sensitive nuisance to the public, who are then more likely to ignore real issues that we bring up.

We just had a candidate for governor of California post a picture of himself in front of Auschwitz and explicitly say that he wants to exterminate the unhoused population. That's the level of discourse we are at, not "blonde woman makes genes/jeans pun ad".

This person also took time to explain what eugenics is and isn't.
