I can only assume those assuring everyone this is 'no big deal' are so fearful of addressing their own implicit bias they can't even muster up enough introspection to question their own idea of 'conventionally attractive' without justifying it with explicit racial 'preference'.

I assure you all Sidney's Sweeney's boobs will not disappear from public view into 'woke jail' if you acknowledge that her 'conventional beauty' used in tandem with 'good genes' can and will be utilized as a form of Nazi propaganda, regardless of intention, and that is problematic given the historical context of propaganda being used to propagate fascist beliefs, which are actively being spready by the fucking POTUS.

They're always so desperate to give away their own agency. Look at this argument, that the ad is a problem because someone somewhere will "utilize" it as "a form of Nazi propaganda, regardless of intention."

So why make this post? It can be utilized as a form of Nazi propaganda by showing how insane anyone who thinks this ad is a problem is.

One of the hilarious ironies of that forum is they're obsessed with finding fascists and fascist plots but have no interest in learning what fascism or Nazism is/was. They're constantly demanding, like in this post, that others address their views but never do it themselves. They think fascism and Nazism is simply a series of policy positions, something they have to do in order to connect it to mainstream political positions and cultural aspects, rather than a comprehensive ideology with a distinctive set of traits that feedback to underpin, integrate and justify the ideology. As a result, they never interrogate their own adherence to these things, never grapple with how fascist they are. Something nearly every single one of them refuses to believe because they can only see themselves as Good and fascism as a stand in for generic Evil.

Look at the checklist of fascist or Nazi beliefs these people hold and spend seemingly every waking minute to proclaim publicly and proudly:
Cult like adherence to a greater unifying cause that consumes all of society, culture and your personal life? ✔
Conspiratorial search for enemy plots everywhere including in harmless things that they reject the "intentions" of? ✔
Belief in a mass Jewish control of media, politics and literally warring against the "civilized" world? ✔
Belief in racialism as a core explainer of human actions? ✔
Rejection of capitalism as morally wrong for not being directed towards their personal goals? ✔
Fantasies of a mythical past before Man fell from Eden that needs to be restored? ✔
Rejection of liberalism as morally wrong, corrupt, disordered, too diverse, insufficient for achieving the mandatory goal of society? ✔
Demands for mass policing and surveillance to eliminate minority views? ✔
Privileging of certain demographic traits socially, culturally and politically? ✔
An incessant nervous need for an authority to establish order? ✔
Black-and-white, all-or-nothing thinking, opposition to compromise? ✔
Fantasies of participating in ongoing apocalyptic ultimate battles between the forces of Good and Evil? ✔
Belief in living in an unique and cosmically important moment in History? ✔
Belief in women both being and having a mandatory role that exists to serve The Cause? ✔
Obsession about masculinity, especially personally? ✔
Opposition to democracy, especially a desire to end standard electoral politics? ✔
Opposition to the rule of law and constraints on the state? ✔
Fondness for violence with regular calls for and fantasies of it, especially mass violence against perceived enemies? ✔
Rhetoric against their enemies that explains them as both weak, pathetic figures who also control everything and never face consequences? ✔
Blind raising of heroic figures who are then treated as traitors to The Cause? ✔
A nervous focus on the consumption of only proper propaganda? ✔

Pretty much the only thing they don't have is the nationalism because they have an inverted form that despises existing nations for not adhering to The Cause that they need to be taken over or replaced to serve.

But yeah, the real threat is the danger of someone saying blue eyes are good genes in a pun and the real focus should be on the "impact of what the creation of an ad like this means." Not questioning the fascists who see it as a literal societal threat.

Not really sure what safeguards Creatures can even put in to prevent stuff like this. They can't compare artwork to all fan art online to see. It's a tricky situation

The levels of delusion on ree is amazing. 

I always had progressive ideas but, coming from a relatively well-off family (nothing crazy though, no splurges compared to some other kids in school that unlike us would be showered in gifts on xmas and went on vacation twice every year but we never lacked food on the table and stuff was repaired/replaced when necessary) I always had that stupid "poor people are not making enough effort" noise in the back of my mind, but all it took was moving out of my parents home to a different city in my early 20s and start interacting with more people from all kinds of backgrounds to realise that it was utter bullshit.

I always thought poor people were lazy scum until my parents stopped supporting me and I became poor.

There's a lot we can point to that led us here, but that shit has a direct line not only to today's American life but also the amount of hand-waving, gaslighting, dismissive bullshit surrounding these ads. The way people are being "stubborn" about being wrong about this reads like a lot of comments that were being "stubborn" about being wrong about that.

And much like GG I'm very much not looking forward to the people dismissing this vanishing the second it gets revealed that this was actually exactly what the rest of us said it was and not anything else.
