Almost nothing for me. The most interesting part was the showing for Cronos. I started a personal project years ago, a 2D sidescroller, that had many of these same ideas. Enemies that absorb fallen monsters to get stronger. Time rifts. Hallucinations. But I never finished it. It reminded me of my own failed project and made me feel bad.

So I felt no enthusiasm for the announcements and also became depressed.

Yup, I got relatives living in Texas, visited them last year, actually, and yup. I mean, I like my uncle (he's actually a gringo and from the US), but I remember him falling for the classic "Kamala laughs way too much" stuff. Funny thing is I arrived to the US the day Biden announced he'd not seek reelection, also when airports in the US were a clusterfuck because of the whole Crowdstrike stuff. But the free world didn't make this decision, one man did.

Seeing this is at least nine pages long I'm dissuaded from seeing if anyone actually makes the case that using the nukes was good because:
1. It saved Japanese lives.
2. It was a best "first use" because it's meant nukes weren't used again.

The Allies could have fire bombed all of Japan and then starved out the island, typical war events, but the nukes led to the Japanese surrendering with honor. It says something about nuance and understanding other cultures that I can't imagine Era would be much interested in.

There's also the question of why if people are Nazis or Nazi allies they shouldn't be nuked off the face of the Earth. Are they saying we shouldn't tactically nuke Sydney Sweeney to save marginalized lives? What about Zionist HQ to end the genocide? Maybe global fossil fuel infrastructure?

I know, people like you don't like facts. I get it. You think drawing out a war will somehow save more kids. Notice you focus just on kids and not all people's lives as if it's some moral high ground. People, regardless of age, gender, or nationality, will continue to die when the war drags on.

I don't know how anyone could doubt that Quake wasn't an AAA budget game for the era. Mario 64 and Final Fantasy VII were really like actual AAAA budgets and the former included costs for the Nintendo 64 itself. Nobody else in the industry was dropping $10+ million development budgets on anything yet.
