I don't know how anyone could doubt that Quake wasn't an AAA budget game for the era. Mario 64 and Final Fantasy VII were really like actual AAAA budgets and the former included costs for the Nintendo 64 itself. Nobody else in the industry was dropping $10+ million development budgets on anything yet.

They weren't there. 

Quake came out in 1996.

Most of these guys are mid-30s so they were probably too young to play Quake.

It's Quantumania.

The hate for Love and Thunder is overblown (and Ragnarok actually suffers from some of the same issues), while The Incredible Hulk and The Marvels are solid/fun movies.

I've also come to appreciate Eternals.

But Quantumania is one of the ugliest movies I've ever seen with an ending so bad that it basically destroyed a character's chances of being relevant.

(Secret Invasion is worse than all of these.)

No, it doesn't. Ragnarok is fucking tight. Hela's plotline being her doing nothing is totally intentional for the same reason Thor has to be out of the picture and eventually has to come to the conclusion of what he needs to do to stop her: bring about Ragnarok. Thor has to learn why he was beaten and what's actually important, which Not Planet Hulk teaches him after he tries the same "solution" there to no effect again.

Love and Thunder is needlessly convoluted because Gorr can't kill any main character gods and literally can't be stopped until they deus ex machina everything with some convoluted nonsense the film wastes time on but never actually sets up. There's no real sacrifice, Thor realizes nothing and it doesn't even take Godhood's seriously. Ragnarok does because Thor recognizes the end of Asgard is part of a cycle, the god shit Odin has been trying to teach him across multiple movies finally comes to his recognition.

We can probably blame Waititi, he didn't write Ragnarok. Love and Thunder still has some great shots because the guy can direct, but in Ragnarok this is all he was tasked with, which is why one is great and the other sucks.

The nuances of the Middle East break up their illusions about there being some kind of solidarity. The other Arabs hate or at least don't care about Palestinians, they especially hate Hamas. They used to just dislike Israel more, now they don't because Israel is an important partner they need. Palestine and Iran are not.

They care about establishing a Palestinian state because that "solves" the issue and hopefully it can piggyback on Israel enough to become a valuable country. But Palestinian elites aren't interested in this and Hamas definitely isn't.

This is why they keep asking why Israel's friends don't all team up and try to re-enact the 1948 war out of Arab/Muslim solidarity but don't wonder how this is supposed to make sense.

It is me or ERA engagement numbers seem to be terrible compared with other years? Threads have problems to reach to 1k views now at the speed of before.

Feels really noticeable how much less people are posting when you see threads for the latest Nintendo Direct (or whatever the Sony equivalent is called) or a similar live event. If you refreshed the page there would be like 5 new pages already but you don't get that now.

Whenever I've gone back and looked at old popular threads it's incredible the amount of people that are permabanned. You get threads where the first two pages are a graveyard, including a lot of former """prominent""" members.
