It’s so funny how they just can’t see how it would make a mum and her teenage daughter uneasy on a man coming over and asking if they’re ok and need help in the bra section, like come the fuck on.

From the women I know have talked about bra fitting it’s embarrassing for them and most of them have never actually had a bra properly fitted due to this, throw in the teenage aspect of it and I can’t even begin to imagine the embarrassment levels for that, but these people just can’t be empathetic to this and it’s all “Me, me, me”

I don't think it's a primary cause but that wasn't inherently my argument, nor do I think science in general is a vacuous social force for good without exception. It is subject to the same relational affects by capitalism and colonialism that everything else in society is, so I'm not impressed or delighted by the prospect of a nuclear reactor on the moon when my people are starving and being genocided. Telling me "but #science" or "but you use a phone" doesn't actually address my concerns.
