Difficult when most PC's are larger than the average Japanese home

that's an advantage, with good cable management you can curl up next to the PSU and then you don't need a space heater

Major selling point of the PS5 in Japan was that instead of building new apartment buildings they could just put a bunch of them on racks for people to live.

Expedition 33 is absolutely a JRPG, and a bangin’ one at that.  Do you also claim that Chained Echoes isn’t a JRPG, Sea of Stars?

Yes. They totally are not. Yeshrug

Mostly because I hate how those in sale themselves as JRPGs rather than say “JRPG inspired RPG”.

Much like resetera, anything other than the location of the studio makes you think that?

Isn't the answer that both are kind of right?

JRPG has been used to describe a very specific kind of game but also the origin of a game.

JRPG just isn't really a useful descriptor anymore I'd say.

Maybe instead of promoting capitalism, colonialism and white supremacy y'all could organize to find more Global South RPGs:

It’s an rpg made in Japan therefore by your logic it must be a jrpg.  I think that’s preposterous but it is what it is Trumps

I could see playing a JewRPG but you'd never catch me playing a ZionistRPG. Which is basically what the output of people like Bethesda, inXile, Obsidian and Playground Games are now.

Guys I heard someone on the internet talked to a transformer and it first told him that he had to kill himself because he wanted to play cyberpunk then a few months later told him it had finished the game and had a really detailed critique, shits fucked up

Does it look, and act like an anime, as well as from Japan? Then no, Claire whatever is not a JRPG.

God, this place needs a cleaning as much as Era does these days.

Libs will discuss anything as long as it distracts from the genocides they're doing.

Using the TTRPG as a reference point, JRPGs don't even qualify as RPGs, they're more like turn based strategy/adventure games. Now they're not even that.

Sub-genre warriors are fun to make fun of though.
