They are ideologically lazy socialists because they get hung up on ascribing rights to nations over populations. Nations do not have rights to exist, people do, so if a nation is fundamentally built upon apartheid and ethnic cleansing then there is no reason to defend its "right to exist." That actively undermines human rights and exposes you as either ignorant or insidious.

It's also not even politically popular to defend Israel and they're not even funded by AIPAC so wtf are they doing.

...so where do the people who have a right to exist live if they have no nation?

Should've just brought back MBJ as Killmonger and made him Black Panther. Or M'Baku. With the soft reboot happening after Secret Wars or Doomsday or whenever it's supposed to be, they should definitely look at bringing in Damson Idris now though.

Just need to say that this is patently false. No one was upset about this. No men complained that it was "too sexualised" or that it "made them uncomfortable". No one. There was no coordinated effort of any kind to "make sure it didn't win." In fact, the only bitching was from certain people complaining about Juri winning the contest.

Probably just angry Luke and Jamie aren't the ones with their cheeks out. By "really gross" he probably means both gross as in "morally offensive" and "I'm grossed out by women because I'm gay"

These criticisms are so disingenuous. The Street Fighter 6 swimsuits are all unique designs. None of them are the same, and all have a unique flavor for each character. They're just mad that the female swimsuits show skin, and it probably gives them an unwanted erection or whatever.

Quote:A generation ago conventional wisdom held that as China liberalized, its economy would come to resemble America's. Instead, capitalism in America is starting to look like China.

Recent examples include President Trump's demand that Intel's chief executive resign; the 15% of certain chip sales to China that Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices will share with Washington; the "golden share" Washington will get in U.S. Steel as a condition of Nippon Steel's takeover; and the $1.5 trillion of promised investment from trading partners Trump plans to personally direct.

This isn't socialism, in which the state owns the means of production. It is more like state capitalism, a hybrid between socialism and capitalism in which the state guides the decisions of nominally private enterprises.
China calls its hybrid "socialism with Chinese characteristics." The U.S. hasn't gone as far as China or even milder practitioners of state capitalism such as Russia, Brazil and, at times, France. So call this variant "state capitalism with American characteristics." It is still a sea change from the free market ethos the U.S. once embodied.

Yes because they think it's a double standard, ignoring how many games out there let you play as shirtless dudes. Oh right, somehow those are always a power fantasy. Watching Sam from Death Stranding shower, such a boy's fantasy

I enjoyed the rhetorical judo in this one.

Referring to people voting for something other than your personal choice in a public poll is now a “a big effort to make sure [my thing] didn’t win”. How juicy and conspiratorial sounding!

No wonder these people are afraid of their own shadow.

that sfv voting thing was pretty funny cause there were two juri costumes in the poll and both of them won lol

He's right. It may not be as outrageous as other threads (like the hamas support), nor a thread were spicy inmate drama breaks out, but the "Why Women Criticize Sexualized Character Designs" series is indeed one of the most important and iconic crash courses on just how insane Ree is.

There's just so much sperging, shrieking, whining, pearl-clutching, gossip, hypocrisy, and self-hating gooning going on. Endless supply of mild entertainment, if you're into that kind of cringe.

Dude posts thread about Jerry Bruckheimer wanting Johnny Depp back for a new Pirates of the Caribbean.

I was totally expecting people to pile in on Johnny. However, the first 46 comments are surprisingly positive and support of Johnny and want him back.

But then the inevitable post arrives and it does so with a bang:

I don't want Johnny Depp back is because the increasing major focus on Jack Sparrow and his wackiness is partly why the Pirates of the Carribean movies past the first one were bad :p
