It's something that has always put me off Hasan, he can't take criticism when he knows it's justified and becomes a massive baby and lashes out. I still remember him being a piece of shit about cyberpunk 2077, his utter refusal to listen to peoples concerns about the transphobia of it and the company. He even fucking compared people complaining about it to right wing grifters who complain about the left, all because he didn't want to give up a game he was looking forward to.

I don't think Zeo wants to tackle this one.

Weapons is not definitively about anything, and that's by design. Cregger seems like a guy who is not actually interested in developing a film as a means to communicate an ironclad thesis or explore a message, but to just put random symbols and moments on the screen under the veneer of it being artsy horror and to let the audience just do as they will in the aftermath.

Why is the AK-47 there in Archer's dream? Who knows? Why is there a little girl narrating this film? Who knows? Why is this witch even in this town? Who knows? Why is the film even called Weapons? Who knows? And it's kind of annoying because of the amount of work that goes into making any kind of film. Some VFX artists had to model, texture, light, shade, animate, and do all of sorts of stuff to that AK alone. Why the fuck did those workers do all of that when it didn't need to be in the film to begin with? Why waste their time?

Weapons is best enjoyed while not thinking about trying to derive what the film means, because the film is less of its own piece with a reasonable meaning and more of an open mystery box where you're meant to talk about the meaning depending upon what you pull out of the box. I get it, but I don't really care for the thrust of this type of film making. I am not necessarily opposed to calling it trite, a roller coaster with really good theming but ultimately nothing more than a short-term thrill.

I'd rather filmmakers with a stronger vision.

I'm not going to summarize everything but I had pretty toxic relationship , it was months on/off kind of stuff. During these times we had kinda stayed in contact like a message one or two weeks cursing/hating each other because of situtation of our relationship blame shifting basically.



Anyway 2-3 days ago we started again but I wasnt sure if it was going to work out ( she has plans to move out of country in 2-3 months) yesterday we got drunk at home and while I was sleeping she basically scanned all my phone and saw lots of shit she shouldnt have seen and contacted those persons telling the situtation. I feel fucked and suicidial , I know everything I done but I dont wanna go into very dark thoughts I'm having. Is there a way to get out of situtation ? Should I move country or city?

Part of it is sheer myopia. Most people are only ever immersed alongside people and opportunities relevant to their own class and thus do not actually have significant amounts of direct experience with those several tiers lower than them to reasonably gain perspective. So the things they struggle with are struggles inasmuch as they present friction between their current lifestyle and whatever theoretical state of "success" they have in their mind is. Your friend being "broke" despite being in a condo paid for by his family could be technically true in that he has poor spending habits or high bills or whatever, and this is a "struggle," but he doesn't know any better to understand that this issue doesn't actually put him in a position of precarity because he doesn't know what "precarity" even means without anything to actually compare it to.

The other part is Westerners' general inability to recognize and analyze contradictions. We live in a sea of competing and contradictory myths, motivators, and moral outlooks that persist for the sake of maintaining the state of imperialism and class unconsciousness, and a lot of people either don't question any of them or lack the skills and emotional maturity to do so with a reasonable analytical framework. Like, people want to be seen as having "earned" their lot in life due to the capitalistic myth of meritocracy and the moral value of a "work ethic"- that humans who work hard are fundamentally better human beings than those that don't (which, lol) without ever acknowledging that the very country they live in in only exists on the back of rampant imperialism and theft that traps billions of human beings in a state of destitution they will likely never experience, that people who work much harder than they ever have, even those who escaped Western impoverishment, will never achieve even that level of a pittance of an income.

For those who are well-off or rich, this contradiction is even more blatant. You not only outpace most of the world, but you outpace most of the people around you who in turn outpace most of the world. This is inherently isolating and painful to deal with when your moral fabric is shaped by a society that insists on the meritocracy myth. If you really didn't earn your lot in life, how can you then justify being well-off or rich? Why do you deserve to live better than most of the people on planet? Well, you have to find something to justify it, right? You can't just admit you were one of the lucky ones; even if it required some level of "sacrifice" like going to school, or networking, or dropping all of the distracting consumption like video games to focus on the hustle...is that truly enough? I mean, how do you begin to even quantify being "deserving" of anything material within a system fundamentally built on exploitation? How do you balance these meager acts of working hard against all of the other factors that had to have gone your way, such that you weren't born in a lot in life where you had to do fucking sweatshop work?

You can't, if you're honest with yourself. Hence, the appropriation of struggle.

Since our relationship was so on/off (we could basically arrange a date concert whatever and fail to go there because we would have fight/argument) I kept them so if I was alone I could write to them.

Yeah for myself it's a combination of the heat and the fact that the last time I went to six flags after they got rid of the dining pass thing a couple years ago (I'm still rather bitter about that), it was just not a fun experience.

There was one ride that even though I've lost weight, for whatever reason I could not get on their seats despite them trying out the best effort. I mean I know I used to be a big person, but come on! :(

Dragonball not running well on switch 2 is something I can understand. Where I still call bullshit is that Ninja Gaiden 2D game running at 30fps. We used to make games like this for the SNES, how does a game like that suddenly break the bank? Either devs are lazy because they got so much computing power that they don't optimize anything or modern engines are just shit like that. (I suspect the latter)

Cronos and Borderlands 4 (based on pre release footage) and Split Fiction look better than this, when comparing current-gen UE5 titles. There's nothing to shake my confidence in Switch 2 handling more current-gen ports reasonably well. I know this device gets a lot of scrutiny but variations in port optimization will always exist regardless of platform.
