For posterity sake, it was Seth Harp, an investigative reporter, making bold claims about how the Navy seals who rescued Captain Philips mutilated the corpses of the pirates and how the pirates only attacked ships in Somali waters, both untrue. He got checked by community notes and continued to double down citing excerpts from completely different navy seal missions. The kind of stuff that really makes you question if this guy has any worth as a reporter when he misinterprets such simple situations

He should at least get credit for investigating his own reporting and discovering it was nonsense, which is why I assume he deleted his posts. Not because he had a tantrum and looked life a fool.

feels like we're living in a simulation at this point.
