A lot of people who came up doing comedy in the 90s basically got where they are because they were "willing to say things nobody else was willing to say". The problem is that it's not the 90s anymore and they're still stuck on the same bullshit they were on back then, and are fully unwilling or unable to grow and change with the times.

In Thompson's case, though, I don't think it's even that. I think he's just the kind of queer guy who found pride in queerness being rebellion instead of normalized, and now that gay men are seen as relatively normal in the grand scheme of things, he's pissed off because he's not special anymore, and he's taking that out on the rest of the queer community.

I'm 35 as well.

Acid reflux is indeed a bitch. I just don't eat after 6pm anymore on the regular. Special occasions and whatnot just cross my fingers.

I started working out with weights last year. I spent the first two months just figuring out when I could or could not work out due to my muscles feeling like they were pulled the next morning. Specfically my deltoids and glutes. Shit sucked. Really made me feel old. Thankfully I am past that now.

Walking down the stairs after waking is an adventure. Sometimes it's completely fine. Other mornings one of my knees feel like it's about to buckle on the first step. Usually I just need to pop it and it feels normal again.

I found out gluten increases my inflammatory response to an uncomfortable level. I wake up with red inflamed scratch marks on my arms and legs. Not sure if I am allergic or not, but definitely making me question if I should just go completely gluten free for life.

One of the benefits of getting old is I don't need an alarm anymore. Rarely make it past 6:30 AM.
