But he isn't well-informed or educated? And his claim to fame is being a relative of Cenk, which might make him worse than a random streamer. The entirety of his credentials are... that he streams?

Someone like Sean Hannity or Rachel Maddow is better because those two have editors and sources and experience. It's mostly bullshit but there's still a level of responsibility involved. Hasan has none of this and even the way he goes about his streams (or anything else) demonstrates that he doesn't care about it. The small team includes two women, Iga Ewa Smolenska, who is a vocal feminist and anti-nationalist for 12 years on a Polish gaming podcast (niezatapialni.com) and also worked on games like Pentiment. The other one, Barbara Gizycka, doesn't seem to be very active on social platforms but she's mainly a scientific researcher.

I don't want to defend this guy. Maybe it's the language barrier, maybe he is saying that because he thinks that's what the interviewer wants to hear. Maybe he's a misogynist. It's hard to tell. But the studio obviously supports openly feminist and political devs. Iga is part of the team for more than 3 years.

I looked a bit more into the lead writer Grezgorz Like, who is quoted in this article. He is also writing for the theatr BARAKAH, a highly political pro-LGBTQ venue. He was co-writing the play Kurwidołek and worked with the director, Michal Nowicki who is supporting LGBTQ, feminism, immigrants, mental health topics etc and fights against nationalism, religious conservatism and gender norms in Poland. Not that anyone cares here.

Or it's okay to pretend we don't exist act like being trans and being neurodivergent or have mental health issues are separate groups and issues; and it's okay to sacrifice the latter for the former; all based on the idea that Autistic people and people with mental health issues are inherently violent, Trumpers and horrible people, acceptable to be used as an insult and not worth caring about. This was something that REALLY wound me up earlier in the years when I saw people declare American Muslims and Arabs didn't care about Trans people, that their lives were more worthy of being sacrificed then trans lives; ignoring that their are also Trans Arabs and Muslims who were also put in the same situation of having to vote for parties that wanted them dead and supported the genocide of their friends and families; all conveniently erased and ignored so allies could push a minorities vs minorities narrative, for a group to scapegoat to blame on the faults of the majority white voters and Politicians that failed them (and I still fully believe Trans people as a whole will be treated the same way in 2028).

I hate this mentality, no trans person is sacrificable, no trans person should be erased or ignored. All human rights matter, trans rights, arab rights, women's rights, gay rights, black rights etc etc etc etc, none should be compromised or told they should sacrifice themselves for the others.

I'm sick of being made to feel I'm violent, that I'm a monster, less trans because I'm autistic, I'm sick of people happily throwing ableist shit at right wing chuds, implying right wing chuds are all "Mentally ill" (being right wing isn't a mental health condition stop it), I'm sick of the implication that having a mental health conditions = Being a Trumper, being no better then people erasing me. I know people are preemptively pissed because Heathcliff is described as "dark-skinned" in the book. That doesn't bother me, though. For one, adaptations don't have to be perfect representations of the source material.

More importantly, it's hypocritical to be cool with casting a black character in a new version (like Hermione or Ariel) but get angry when a white actor is cast for a character who was originally darker.

I've known about resetera since its inception, and am well aware of the reputation that this community has. That reputation is part of the reason why I'm joining now instead of back in the day. As I get older the less and less I have time for the pure vitriol that consumes almost every facet of the internet these days. I'm pretty excited to meet some hopefully like-minded individuals, and hopefully if we aren't like minded, we can still respect each other and show kindness.
