Do any of these "socialist" streamers actually advocate socialism? I don't mean like, Vaush or whatever, I mean the actual human beings. Even AOC's more of your standard fascist-lite like Trump and other similar reactionaries, I actually don't know if she's ever advocated for a single monopoly corporation to dominate every aspect of society without opposition. Maybe it's just tactical to claim you'll allow some private property to remain? I'm skeptical that any of these people are that smart. There’s way more talk about ethics than anything substantial and practical. And for those of us who have already hit the books the ethics discussion is rarely around things that are priorities in the movement(s) and much more about like, performative identity politics stuff wrapped in the language of critical analysis. But tbh I don’t listen to streamer politicos, or indeed much online chatter, I far prefer to actually…do work for my party and get them elected.

This type of thread again shows Era's outright hypocrisy towards women, especially biological women. Era pretends to be pro-women's rights, 'respect a woman's right to say no', 'give a woman her space' etc, etc...

But when it's one of their own, like here, they actively encourage stalker/psychotic behavior.

I've noticed this in the dating threads as well. 99% of the time, it's blindingly obvious that a woman will want absolutely nothing to do with the dude and has made it (politely) clear as possible. But instead, the posts are all about analysing her behaviour and what she really means by armchair psychologists (such as Visawife!), and then giving completely inappropriate guidance like 'wait a few days before you message her again' and shit like that. No means no, dudes.

The duality of Era towards protecting their own when it comes to women really impresses me with it's double standards.

It should also be noted... the likes of Kyuuji, excelsiorlef, CuckyCal, etc... are almost never to be seen in the dating thread, despite it being 572+ pages and 28,500 comments long.

It's almost as if Era... doesn't really respect (biologically-born) women's rights or boundaries at all.

What it really boils down to is the limits on how American leftists can interact with the effective ideologies elsewhere. People like Piker would generally be laughed out of the room in a serious social democratic political party. I think you guys are overreacting. Maybe they are wrong about the whole political part of the statement but I don't think they are wrong in saying planned parenthood and a hospital are not charities. I mean how is a children hospital different from a normal hospital. Unless the children in this context are orphans, I don't see the issue with Unity's statement. And planned parenthood is simply about responsibility. It does not necessary make the recipient of those services needy.
