Both him and his dad are idiots. I think it's most likely the dad's point is more that one subset of views should not be how you evaluate a person's views versus their entire body of views. I don't think he literally means to spend your time listening to Charlie Kirk, that was assumed in the complaint from his son about Kirk's views. I figure if the son had said "Charlie Kirk is dumb and he was terrible at what he did" there wouldn't be the challenge from the dad because that's a legitimate reason to not listen to Kirk. I assume the son was lecturing his dad about what Kirk believed while the dad accurately suspected his son was repeating what he'd heard about Kirk and wasn't actually judging him based on any experience with his work.
A similar example would be all the posts denying that Destiny is "left-wing" because he said slurs or supports Israel while ignoring the other 90% of his views.
My father always told me to watch and read from all news outlets and read between the lines because there is bias everywhere.

How is it not painfully obvious that the extreme views are the disqualifier for any alleged decent ones? Like we can't go find people with decent views who also, you know, don't simultaneously hold all the terrible ones.
" Dad, are you high?"
Maybe if the left actually had a version of Charlie Kirk who went out and spoke on college campuses instead of sitting on some stream every day eating food and complaining it would help your cause. I didn't agree with Kirk but he actually put in the ground work. The online lefts issue is that they're so insulated that they are unwilling to speak with the other side. Creating some sort of common ground to pull aside centrists or center-rights who are questioning Trumps actions would be a nice idea compared to, you know, DUNKING on stupid jerk faces on reddit, twitter, or bluesky so you feel heckin validated.
Stop purity testing and actually have conversations. Something to think about. But I understand that a lot of y'all have anxiety and that's a lot of work.
they didn't because they didn't need to, US college is a fully ideologically captured space, you're just preaching to the choir
imagine putting up a tent, "CHANGE MY MIND: ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT MEXICANS SHOULDN'T BE DEPORTED," what do you think would happen to anyone who actually tried to change their mind?
it only worked because charlie was an outsider and wouldn't be ostracized by his peers at that college, and couldn't be expelled for making other students feel unsafe
It's called having conversations, Uncle. It's what Charlie would have wanted.
And they can put up a tent across the street from Walmart. Where the red blooded American shops.
i think the charlie kirk thread is gone on resetera? it just vanished on me after i refreshed it. :v Are they scared of the FBI going through it?
LOL THEY HID THE CHARLIE THREAD

It's members only now. They're probably scared of the Charlie Kirk cancel squad.
but cancel culture doesn't exist..

It's members only now. They're probably scared of the Charlie Kirk cancel squad. But why? One of the two rules is don't be an asshole.
Bet they hid it because of the FBI confirmation of the trans relationship.
Uncle, the college allowed him to speak in the campus. A group of students paid him to go to the Campus.

It's really frustrating that even journalists do this shit. Yesterday a guy from the young Turks claimed that the shooter was a huge Nick Fuentes fan and then never followed it up The news media environment is total shitshow right now. Everyone is trying to be a goddamn influencer and content creator.
Even Kirk's own widow was shoving a phone camera up close to the corpse of her husband on twitter for likes three days after he died. Normally families would take some time to privately grieve when a tragedy hits but we're living in some strange times.
If you looked at the viewing history of most Resetera members, you would think they were all alt right bigots who religiously watch every single conservative streamer on the internet.
If you dug a little into their background you'd also find that they come from a conservative religious family in some backwater shithole US state and were heavily Republican as a school kid and only recently discovered communism.
You'd also find plenty of photos of them posing with their newly acquired guns and their social media would show a detailed history of the people they think should be shotgunned to death in the streets.
So still dunno for sure, right?

Is it cultural appropriation for some big tiddy cosplay whore to dress up as an animated Korean pop star?
