I’m looking up mid range GPU options and boy did people get bitter or the market turned rotten. Everything is “How about the 5060ti?” “How about you kill yourself? You can’t even play Minecraft with 8gb vram.” “What about the 16gb variant?” “Are you retarded? Just buy the 5070 for another $200.” “Is the 5070 good then?” “No, it only has 12gb vram and is overpriced.” “Should I go AMD?” “Only if you’re a dirt poor who enjoys troubleshooting every game.”
Then somebody else adds “5060ti is fine if you’re playing 1440p at 60hz to 144hz” and they get dog piled.
5060ti 16gb seems fine for me. Downside is the bundled game. Borderlands 4… when I bought my last GPU they gave out MGSV and Arkham Knight.
I still don't get why they made Joanna Dark look like a trans Duke Nukem.
They should've just straight up made it Trans Duke Nukem. His past behaviour is because he was deeply closeted. Watch duke struggle with aliens whilst also struggling with his own identity.
MGS Delta really is fantastic, I'm playing it very slow because I have so little time but it holds up really well.
Only the Emotion Engine™ could produce such physics.
Cancelled GamePass. Realized I hadn't played a GamePass game 9 months.
I'll just pick up the games for cheap on sale on Steam instead.
Saves ~215 yearly.

New Silent Hill is good apparently. Didn't expect this. Same score as the Silent Hill 2 remake.
One thing I see people saying about it: on PS5 it runs at 360p to 720p upscaled. But it’s okay because it’s locked at 60 FPS. This is considered one of the better UE5 game?
*Thinks about the early PS5 packaging that mentioned it could do 8K on it*
Next gen is truly here. Apparently the Pro version manages to run worse.

Imagine if that was a Switch 2 game and the reaction it would elicit from the retards...
Kept going back and forth on whether to buy a new GPU and decided to pass. Unironically, Borderlands 4 being the included game was a big reason.
There is no use really. The new Resident Evil runs on Switch 2 so does Cyberpunk 2077.
In fact Cyberpunk 2077 is 5 years old.
The only new GPU worthy game is GTA6 whenever that releases on PC.
My current desktop GPU is a mid range card from about a decade old. Part of it is, my desktop is in America. Most of the year I’m not. My Lenovo gaming laptop has a mobile 4070 and is pretty good for the most part. But it’s definitely hitting walls, getting loud, concerningly warm. But I miss having a desktop pc that could take advantage of my monitor and such.
I’ve yet to play cyberpunk because it was gonna be the first game I’d play on a new GPU.

Otherwise something used like a 4070 Ti.
My rig:
Ryzen 7 5800X: september 2020
4070 Ti: october 2023
There is nothing I can buy that is a significant improvement for actual gaming performance at 1440p.
The big games like Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077 run on Switch 2.
Performance of laptop GPUs is strange, that 4070 is probably closer to a desktop 3070 than a desktop 4070.
I would suggest to everyone to get your hardware in order as soon as possible. Russia is collapsing, it's going to be a while before it gets better with the tariffs. The games you can buy digital Snake, any breakdown of the supply chain of goods and services won't interfere.
Supply chain?!
It’s a little late now. Next time I’m in god’s country I will.
Last I checked prices were favorable compared to Japan. But I may do something stupid like build a PC sans GPU over there, then travel with the GPU. Need to arrive at the airport earlier to account for TSA questioning me.

I played few so far. Only Mario Kart and MGSD, watched my bro play DOOM
Also forgot about Stellar Blade on PC, which has since released.

Was this on Reddit? Reads like it!
I stick with portable/laptop subs and it's the same dumb crap on those, too. A few years back it was everyone freaking out over GPU wattage. Then it changed to VRAM whining. Never-ending "8GB IS NOT ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!" posts.
Someone asked about potentially buying an Asus Z13 and wanted to know which model they should get. It comes in 32, 64, and 128 GB RAM configurations and since it's integrated, you can split it and allocate VRAM. Put my two cents in and responded that if you just want to play games, the 32 GB model is perfectly fine. Do a 16/16 RAM/VRAM split and you're good.
Had someone reply that 16 GB of VRAM isn't enough.
I keep going back and forth on those smaller gaming laptop tablets. Sort of recognized in me that I don’t enjoy playing games on a laptop. Couple months there I had my laptop as my primary. Didn’t start playing games until I got a big monitor. And even when I use it as a laptop, bless USB C because I’m not dragging that huge power supply around. So “power” is a fraction of what it’s capable of when I’m away from my desk.
Some guy is compiling data on who's saying slurs in Team Fortress 2:

Various goings-on in my life makes it hard for me to be able to sit down and play video games in the basement where a neglected desktop PC, 48" LG C1 OLED 4K/120hzTV and two nice 32" monitors (4K/144hz and 2K/240hz) are hooked up. So it's mostly mobile for me and the Z13 is a super portable tablet that craps all over the handhelds. I also play the Switch 2 and various Android/Linux handhelds when I want a retro or handheld fix.
I got a nice 13L backpack that I use to carry stuff around. It's small n' slim, but I can fit a laptop, tablet, all the peripherals, power supply, etc. plus a handheld and/or the Switch 2. The Z13 pretty much lives in this bag.
Where I do hook up to a monitor is at my dad's house- we spend nearly every weekend over there and it got to the point where I was hauling so much crap over weekly that I brought over and did a full desk set up so I can game on an older 27" 1440P/144hz monitor once the kid has gone to sleep.

Looks like Microsoft Rewards are making a few changes https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2F9lf8s8wdwbsf1.jpeg
Doing that instead of changing their system so it doesn't seem to make arbitrary restrictions and time outs due to "Suspicious Activity." Whatever that is.
Anyone ever bought one of those Evercade systems?
I know there's cheaper alternatives to playing retro games, but I like the idea of owning legit copies of things (I know, whatever).
They keep popping up on my feeds and seem like a bit of fun.

If you went ten years back in time and showed modern Call of Duty footage to someone, they'd think it was Saints Row footage.

Have read good things, but haven't tried any of their products. Too limited compared to what you can do with the various Android/Linux handhelds.
