A. Where is the harrassment? The only way an ERA user can get harrassed is if they come over here and read our posts. I’m sure you will jump to Benjidoxxer’s work, but again, posted here with no effort or directive made to do anything with.

B. You say innocuous, I say a culture of posters that is harming both themselves and each other with their doom posting and refusal to engage with alternative perspectives. Maybe you missed the number of threads of users looking to harm themselves, and that pre-dated Trump as well.

C. Echo Chamber….

It was literally on the first page of that thread, the 29th post. I clicked the thread, swiped down a few times and saw my bright purple highlight of a post. You're digging and ban-baiting for something that's just not there.

It also doesn't justify not banning for those factors. One of the most common studies cited is the one about marathon runners, how there wasn't any advantages in that use case. People have cited that study so many times and then you click it and actually read it and see they're only talking about long-distance running and it's like what are we doing here? Sports are all over the place.

And that's the core of the issue — there aren't enough studies done on this to make blanket statements. You said in that thread there's advantages and disadvantages, which I'm gonna assume you were tryin to say it varies by sport, which is literally the most reasonable take ever. There's so many sports out there that each require specific physical traits that it's impossible to just make blanket statements on this.

I seen this said a lot, how there's never been a trans Olympic medalist so what's the problem? You got a point. But you also have to understand that the % of the population that are Olympic level athletes are like… .0001% (or whatever; it's extremely small), and then you take 2 or 3% of that .0001% of potential Olympic athletes who might be trans — the odds of a trans woman medal'ing in our lifetime is incredibly slim. So yeah you're right, folks shouldn't be bitching about that, but that's not the point.

One of those times for a couple hours. I saw her maybe ten times the whole year in person. One night a week. Sometimes just a couple hours.

We were in a serious, long term relationship and I felt like I barely ever spoke to her. I felt sidelined.

The worst moment for me, and possibly for her, was when she invited me to a party at her home for the first time, her not being a big party person. At the last moment she told me she was inviting a friend, who she had previously hooked up with. Already feeling insecure in our relationship, I tried to be understanding about this. I met him, was friendly and at the party he made it clear to me that he was trying to fuck her that night. She then asked me to head home because he was going to stay the night, so I couldn’t. (This being one of the few nights we’d been able to see each isn’t in a while.) I went home. I didn’t cause a scene or argue or do anything yo ruin her night.
