That's true with most critique about accessibility and has been a big frustration of mine for years as someone who who has accessibility issues with game and has pushed for devs to consider accessibility in there games (or hell just for the game community to be better versed, understanding and educated about mental health in general, see my continued frustration with how so much of the community refuses to educate itself about addiction and how stuff like Paid RNG is exploitative). It can be very frustrating to discuss your issues with subtitling and text size in games be dismissed, dogpiled, mocked and attacked (something that has thankfully been reduced for in the 2020s and appreciate ERA users (shout out to the Tokon thread users) for understanding more) as a skill issue, not important, that accessibility doesn't matter etc.

Notice that, outside about bitching about Gacha, most of your complains in that paragraph are legit and related to health issues. 

it's hard for me not to notice that backlash against accessibility in the past 15 years in some cases come from ignorance about the needs of others and other cases, abled bodied gamers lashing out at the idea that games aren't made solely for them and don't like games not catered for them alone;

Most people that complain about accessibility for the non abled bodies are, in fact, able bodied.

People forget that there was a period of time pre Dark Souls where most mainstream releases were made piss easy. Most AAA games maintain this, and I don’t think is bad, but people conveniently forget that by default most devs make difficulty as accessible as possible for a perceived general audience, most of it body abled may remind. 

 

It's REALLY hard to not to notice that some of the heat/hate I've gotten over the years on the web more critique on accessibility in games mirrors a lot of the heat and mockery I've gotten for criticizing objectification of women in games.

Let's break how stupid fatty's two sentence post is:
1. First claim has no basis, he just asserts it. Even though there's multiple ways you could come to "centrism" especially because in our "system" both of the standard poles allow the center to include anarchists, libertarians, social democrats, complete totalitarians, Michael Bloomberg, Krysten Sinema, Joe Manchin, etc. despite significant ideological disagreement between these all. Centrism is a relative descriptor, not an absolute one. If centrism is a "lack of ideology" it's a lack of two specific ideologies, not all ideologies. Only by asserting that there are two and only two possible ideologies can Royalan even make his claim.
2. Second claim also has no basis, it presumes that the "lack of an ideology" means the person is seeking one and so will just adopt any even as they're rejecting those being offered. The vast majority of people don't have an "ideology" not because they don't actually have an ideology but because they're rejecting the established ones as they deviate too strongly from their own. Royalan assumes that they must just adopt whatever is offered, even though he says they lack one which would be impossible if Royalan's assertion is true. Having assumed a false choice, Royalan's conclusion is tautological and thus proves his assertion without any evidence but his original wrong assumption.
3. All of his claims are disproven by simply pointing to any issue polling of the American populace. Americans don't cleave to the standard two poles and the standard two poles are not consistent with nor do they adhere fully to the two party platforms. (As Era is constantly lamenting about the Democrats.) Same with all Western populations despite the abundance of two or dominant party systems including ones that have far more rigid parties over time. This should be obvious on a conceptual level as else only one party would ever win elections.
4. The countries two major parties have always included the President.

Final evaluation: revise and resubmit these two sentences before proceeding with paper.

i don't like my coworkers or driving an hour to the office so realistically theres no possible way it's worse than being in the office

i get the same amount of work done and can get chores done during the day at the same time instead of using my free time on them
