So 2025 has been kind of Hanna-Barbera year for me, along with wlw shipping art, it's been a good distraction and comfort work from this year's stress and anxiety.



Me and mother have been going the entirety of Scooby Doo (we're nearly finished A Pup Named Scooby Doo and only have Scooby Doo in Arabian Nights after that until we've finished the classic era of the show before we enter the modern era with Scooby Doo on Zombie Island) and have also watched Top Cat, The Huckleberry Hound Show and Yogi Bear show in-between. I've also watched by myself Dynomutt, Josie and the Pussycats, the surviving parts of the Harlem Globetrotters (it amazes that a 70s H-B cartoon is partially lost media), Hong-Kong Phooey, Wacky Races, Speed Buggy, Captain Caveman and the modern Jellystone cartoon.


So yeah quite a bit.



So question for everyone since I have it on the brain, who are your favourite Hanna-Barbera characters and shows? These can be the MGM era shorts, the classic era TV shows, dark era (80s and 90s) or the late Cartoon Network era stuff like Dexter's Laboratory and Powerpuff Girls.



Really curious what ERA's opinions on Hanna-Barbera, it's not something I see discussed much on here on this site outside of Scooby Doo.

As creepy, weird and meanspirited as the show could be, that was just a really good message. Zim's line "yes" in response to the skin condition question sounded so sad despite the fact that he was completely right.

IMO you can't just "fix" having used generative AI, even for placeholder assets. They were already made and used. They became a factor in building the final product.

Why not just make a quick and obvious placeholder that wouldn't be likely to slip in the final build? Why even let the heartless theft of generative AI serve as inspiration during development?

Hotel Barcelona is also planning to remove its generative AI, but it's clear that it was used. It's good that this development choice was revealed, at least. The real disgusting part of this trend is publishers/developers not disclosing usage and covering their tracks. Gen AI art isn't only ugly; it's immoral.
