Can a rule similar to what I remember in the old place like 10 years ago be implemented where posters get a couple of days suspension if they post without having read the OP / article linked in the OP? Most threads are unreadable because of kneejerk reactions where they see a crappy headline and react to that instead of discussing the actual contents. Its like reading a Twitter thread.

We have done this before, at the start of the summer actually, and everyone jumped up and down on our heads for two weeks straight. Not kidding.
