USA protests are tame because:
- 50% of people disagree with your leftist cause du jour and won't protest
- 30% of the remaining people care but aren't as extreme as era so they won't feel the need to protest
- 18% of those remaining people who care and are willing to protest can't because they're living paycheck to paycheck and are scheduled to work that day
leaving 2% to feebly sit in their college president's office until they get kicked out

Is less that they don’t have funds and more like both Activision and Gamepass has not given the results they wanted to justify Xbox’s Hardware and first party titles.
Gamepass didn’t become the Netflix of gaming, CoD actually did a tiny little worse last year and their hardware was lagging behind both Sony and Nintendo. Microsoft big wigs just lost the patience with Phil Spencer’s promises.

Kamala Harris is a furry? Then how could she support genocide?
I doubt it's the purchase, it's that 95% of Xbox's revenue comes from stuff that isn't hardware. If you aren't putting the hardware on store shelves there's no point in putting the game boxes.
This is why they were shifting to Xbox partner hardware but I can't imagine they won't still have to put out at least a single cheap Xbox for the foreseeable future. They are really stupid if they think making a Sony platform monopoly won't threaten GamePass. Although I can't imagine there are many people left who were there and remember why Microsoft even started the Xbox in the first place. (Hint: they feared a Sony platform monopoly.)
couldn't MS have died BEFORE they bought Bethesda??

Xbox is making more money than ever. I have to imagine they had forecasted dumping the S and X for some kind of Series C for cheap and crap that would push up closer to the X but they could sell for the price of the S. Then the supply situation fucked all that. They seem to have decided to pull the hardware plug anyway and ride it out.
The idea of all the purchases I think supports the idea that they have enough content that they could undercut Sony in price and still create a big enough market that Sony doesn't start turning everything into exclusives again like the PS2 era. I find it hard to believe GenocidePass would do well without an actual Xbox platform as a base. This is the main reason I don't buy that they can go third-party. They aren't a publisher, they're a platform provider. They aren't looking to make money selling their titles as games on a Sony platform but as reason to subscribe to GenocidePass. The rest is all extra you just don't leave on the table because it's dumb.
The third-party fantasies are all based around the idea that Microsoft desires to just stop taking in tens of billions in revenue (that they can funnel to Israel) every year because it "lost" the "console war." I assume it must be unaddressed trauma from Sega, which was doing so poorly as a platform provider that its owner had to personally cover its costs multiple times.
I do think if they take a break for a few years, a triumphant return of new hardware could really revitalize the brand
just imagining the reaction to them coming back after 5 years or something, waves of nostalgia driving purchases
dream cast II by microsoft
In case y'all ever forget not to trust libs, scratch a lib, find a Nazi:
I think Microsoft is simply changing strategies, letting partners take over the hardware side primarily, re-apportioning existing hardware to sell them in areas with actual demand, and let partners take over those areas.
Microsoft will be North America primarily I think, everywhere else is up for grabs by Asus, Lenovo whoever else wants to get into it

"We urge the President to help facilitate a lasting return to tariff-free trade with our longstanding trading partners to ensure the continued growth and vitality of this great industry,” he said.

I was doing some digging and actually found some NYT articles from January 1975 where he was mentioned. He was VP for automotive sales and helped create a rebate program for people to use when purchasing a car. It's a neat story.

Almost as neat as my grandma's other story, where she went to see him at work, admiring his nice office, checking out his University Of Illinois degree on the wall. Mom told me grandma's next words were "Rodney, you've never been to college or Illinois"

The lack of posts is probably because there is no a lot of people at ERA that actually understand US politics to say this is the case or is the usual doom posting from a random article.
Also, the SC related threads have become eternal “buh buh poor us” for stuff that is yet to happen.
