I'll say what I've said before. If you believe Hasan shocked his dog last week, you have to also believe one of the following scenarios:

1) He decided to start shocking last week after two years of not doing it.

2) He has been shocking her for two years but she never reacted to it until now. Over two years of the dog being behind him on camera, almost every single day, for 6-8 hours a day. Countless video proof of Kaya listening to Hasan's verbal commands to lie down without a single instance of pain.

If you believe he shocked her last week, you have to believe one of those two scenarios. And whenever I've brought that up to someone, whether it is a troll here on Era or someone on social media, they go quiet.

Aside from the fact that this point was awful the first time he made it, there is now A) Hasan's admission that he uses a collar of some kind, ii) he is in several clips debating the merits of such collars and their use in training his own dogs, thirdly) many, many clips strung together into convenient dog-education compilations, and 4) Hasan moving the damn controller out of the camera! 

Like, Zeo should be presented with his own logic. Hasan bought an "Educator" only to never use it for multiple years, despite the collar being on the dog in a number of instances during this time? He keeps the remote on his desk for what...to admire the fine german engineering?

The only argument any of these people can possibly try to make at this point is that he's just firmly jigglin' the dog instead of electrocuting it, but even that explanation looks awful in light of Hasan's own initial defenses.

Feels crazy to say but I feel something like French Revolution style has got to happen with the .01% class in the US - they are just steamrolling everything with zero resistance.

They aren't afraid of fines, or jail, or anything else that's tangible as they can just throw some measly money at the problem and not even think twice.

What they are afraid of however, is not being alive - as evidenced by the bunkers (re: tombs) they are all building for when that event I mentioned in the first sentence of my post happens.

Why are they always so convinced they know what happened in historical events they reference while being so wrong about them?

Anyone familiar with the degrowth literature will know that there is often a bit of a shell game going on in these arguments. Very few proponents of degrowth are willing to come out and say “suck it up, you’re going to have to live like a medieval peasant.” So instead they engage in wordplay.

Saitō is playing a similar game, threatening degrowth, but then turning around and promising “radical abundance” in its stead. What exactly is radical abundance? Basically, lots of free stuff for everyone. An example that Saitō provides is the city of Copenhagen’s decision to plant fruit trees throughout the city “that citizens are allowed to pick fruit from for free”(185). This sends him off into the realm of utopian speculation. What if one could transform an entire urban area into an “edible city”? “Cultivating fruits and vegetables in the streets not only helps combat hunger by making food freely available but also fosters awareness of the dynamics of farming and nature”(186). What if the entire food supply in cities was produced and consumed locally?
