The new argument post-QT revelations is that the tape wasn't added this week and has been on the collar since he's owned it. You could prove that easily by peeling the tape a little, adhesive hardens over time so if there's less resistance it was probably just added, and if there's residue around the outline it would indicate it's been there for a while. But then argument would be "okay so he removed the prongs and taped it the day after being called out that doesn't prove anything".

I wonder if they are going to memory-hole this controversy just in the Hasan thread or in every thread about Hasan going forward, i'm betting the latter.

The contention in this thread is all based on the hallucinated conspiracy theory that he modified a collar between streams out of panic. Nothing has proven that he shocked a dog live on stream, out of the blue, in front of 40k people after 1000s of live hours with the dog hanging out in the back or off screen or during streamed play time in the park. It doesn't matter if it's a modified shock collar, in fact that kind of proves that he doesn't shock his dog in the first place, unless of course you're chasing ghosts to prove the hallucination is true.

The fact that the murder weapon was found in his house actually exonerates my client.

Look, this gun is completely empty of bullets, so how can you say it's the one that shot up those people? There are no bullets in this gun which means that currently it cannot shoot anyone at all. Sure, my client is seen with the gun on his streams, but did he ever do a mass shooting on those streams? No, so why would he do it off camera? With a gun that has no bullets in it. It's a hallucination. Also all those people needed to lay down to take the stress off their hips.

The man charged in the April arson attack at Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s residence was sentenced Tuesday to decades in prison after pleading guilty to several charges.

Cody A. Balmer, 38, pleaded guilty to attempted murder, aggravated arson, 22 counts of arson, burglary, and other offenses, according to the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office. Under the plea deal, he was sentenced to 25 to 50 years in state prison, the district attorney's office said in a statement.

Prosecutors accused Balmer of breaking into the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg and setting it on fire on April 13, the second day of Passover. Shapiro, who is Jewish, was having a Passover Seder at the home the night before the attack, according to officials.

Security footage released by the District Attorney's Office appears to show Balmer climbing the property's fence, approaching the home, and breaking one of its windows with a sledgehammer. Balmer then threw a Molotov cocktail inside, setting the house ablaze, officials said in a news release.

The footage then appears to show Balmer breaking a second window and entering the home. Once inside, Balmer began striking at two doors, including a door that led to where the Governor’s family and guests slept, but did not break through, officials said.

Roughly 12 hours after the April attack, Balmer turned himself in to the Pennsylvania State Police and admitted to "harboring hatred toward Governor Shapiro," according to authorities.

The probable cause affidavit says that Balmer said he would have beaten the governor with his hammer when asked in the police interview what he'd do had he come face to face with Shapiro.

Balmer suggested he was upset by Gov. Josh Shapiro’s position on the war in Gaza, according to the district attorney's office.
