Reading the article and the mentality of "high standards", I really hope people don't use that to mean "strips Neurodivergent students and other students of extra help to make them "learn" and suffer like the rest" (especially right wing people given the article is going after progressives while ignoring how the right wing have slowly the eroded the Education system for it's benefit) that I've seen a few times around here in the UK. It's frustrating seeing Intelligent Autistic kids getting lumped into this shit and treated like their part of the problem because they may need extra help, lessons, struggle with no fault of their own or simply are not suited to the exam system/environment (and as one of those kids, it felt embarrassing, frustrating and depressing feeling like I was behind everyone, feeling like I was "stupid", feeling different (not helped by the intense bullying) etc).

Yeah, I am aggressively having less and less fun the longer the game goes on. The combat just really isn't well-suited for Atsu vs. groups and so many fights are just "lol here's 5+ dudes all at once, have fun being swarmed and spammed from all directions at once".

You just die WAY TOO QUICKLY for the number of enemies they expect you to put up with all at once, and even switching throwing/ranged weapons during a fight is basically guaranteed death because there isn't even any meaningful slowdown when you bring up the switch menu. On top of that, the auto-targeting is awful, the camera CONSTANTLY fucks you over, and it consistently feels like Atsu has WAY less reach than she should because enemies always back away from you while blocking so you're constantly forced to rush toward them and leave yourself open.

I don't know what it is but the combat just feels markedly worse than the original instead of better.

Not that it's any surprise at this point, but this shitheel apparently bought the game despite acting like he wasn't gonna buy it out of protest.

Yeah, I am aggressively having less and less fun the longer the game goes on. The combat just really isn't well-suited for Atsu vs. groups and so many fights are just "lol here's 5+ dudes all at once, have fun being swarmed and spammed from all directions at once".

Hey guys, I'm playing this highly praised game Super Mario Bros. and the combat is giving me gigantic anxiety attacks. I'm right at the start and I've been stuck here for two weeks now and I think I'm done. What happens is I start to walk forward towards what appears to be a floating row of bricks when this little mushroom like guy walks at me. AND. HE. DOESN'T. STOP. Then he one hits me instantly upon combat. I've tried literally everything to avoid combat with him but it seems like there's no way to not aggro him and the floating bricks seem to be funneling me into combat. This is just terrible design. I almost put my fist through the wall and my roommates are bothering me with "son is something wrong down there? Does dad need to reset your RAM again?" This is why I hate PC gaming and I'm so frustrated that I can barely even watch YouTube at work thinking about that mushroom guy and how everyone says this game is a classic.
