According to an email response from Educator Collars’s customer service, the collar appears to be their RX-090 receiver, which is indeed a shock-capable model. The company representative stated: “It looks like someone cut off the contact points and put tape over it to maybe cover up any rough edges left for cutting instead of just replacing the contact points with a comfort pad.”

Did any further discussion happen in regards to WWE threads? With as closely as that company is towards Trump, the using AI for storylines announcement, HHH becoming more involved with MAGA, and the latest report of them telling their wrestlers that they cannot work anywhere for a year if they leave the company, it's a little discouraging seeing users on this site supporting their actions because they like the company.

I know there's not much that can be done, but it seems incredibly hypocritical to have posters who are against MAGA but will happily talk about financially supporting a company closely tied to MAGA with a family member who is currently destroying our education system in the US.

It is forever insane to me that the solution to WWE was to just permit it in its own thread but any and all Harry Potter talk is banned.

WWE needs to be gone, just like Potter. But you're right, the constant calls for it to be dealt with continually fall on deaf ears.

I will say regarding the WWE stuff that it would be better/more prudent to wait until another more reputable source backs Dave Meltzer (the guy who is claiming all of this stuff) up on his latest claims, because his track record when it comes to reporting literally anything WWE related over the past couple of years has been complete and utter dogshit (and Newsweek just reposted what Dave said with no corrobrating sources, they didn't confirm or deny the story, just literally reposted what he said, plus Newsweek itself is falling down the AI rabbit hole). Either someone reports the story before him and then he parrots it like he knew, or he makes something up and then never retracts it when he's proven wrong. He's a completely irresponsible journalist. It's pretty telling when he's using Grok to try and prove his point when it comes to ratings.

If Dave was correct about Trump showing up at SMNE or some of his other claims "from the White House", then it would have leaked out to the White House Press Corps before Dave. And the White House Press Corps loves covering every little mundane thing in Trump's orbit, because it's their actual job. Secret Service would also already be scouting the venue where it's being held, and local papers and the press corps would have picked up on it by now. It feels like Dave is getting fed a bunch of shit from a troll or group of trolls, because he never vets his sources.

If the mods are going to ban all WWE related discussion, then it seems only fitting that Apple, Amazon, etc all go as well, considering all of them are cozying up to Trump in big ways as well.

There's a huge difference between cozying up to Trump and having active board members and family members actually serve in his administration, while using AI to write stories, bringing back one of the co-accused of a sex trafficking case and helping Saudi Arabia with their sportswashing schemes. Not that I would particularly care if any of the other companies mentioned were to vanish from discussion, but it's all been building up for years rather than just a single flashpoint. Agree with you on waiting on corroborating sources rather than just Meltzer though.

If there's a single thread for WWE, it doesn't really bother me personally, but I agree with some of the above posters that if this is confirmed, I do think we should be consistent with other banned properties to be allowed to have a single thread because WWE should join them on the same level.

Would appreciate it if folks didn’t constantly bring up the TERF Wizard property every time they want something else banned. It’s kinda sus ngl, and immensely disrespectful to the unique circumstances that surround it.

None of us are in denial about what the company is and we constantly discuss how hard they make to appreciate these stories and wrestlers everytime. We acknowledge the good the workers we like do and the bad anyone says or does. There's no "well AEW does it". Your framing isn't even honest.

There's no sticking our head in the dirt. There's no denial. There's no dismissing people as haters because we're mad at the criticism. Though none of us care for the drivebys.

It's one of the few places on here that generally acknowledges all aspects of a company. The stuff we like, the stuff we hate, the shows we won't watch, the regular disappointments, when people give up.

I have a bigger issue with the people who openly crap on the company out here and the people who watch, but still check back and be like "did they make X champion yet?"

As we discussed several times in this thread banning things really isn’t a good solution. Where do you draw the line? We ban WWE for being part of the Trump admin but we don’t ban MS for being active participants in genocide? Do we ban EA because they are soon to be owned by Trumps son in law? Do we ban Amazon, Apple, Google and whatever AI stuff that is ripping off artists?

My take on the WWE thread is that the staff has already done a great deal of work by containing the discussion in a singular thread, which is a big achievement considering it's the biggest wrestling company and the most mainstream one by a large margin. By and large the community has remained there and talking about it there, with the occasional overall discussions in other wrestling related threads where big things like the Cena retirement, what happens to AJ Styles, etc etc get acknowledged because other wrestlers from tons of companies will obviously mention it as well.

Personally, I don't think blanket banning any discussions, mentions, threads about something like WWE is possible without a huge amount of work from moderation, because it gets hard to handle everything in between. Wrestling fans of Era suddenly don't have any outlet to talk about some of the best wrestlers and good matches that take place. Inevitably some wrestlers will cross over discussions because wrestlers by and large support each other and will have each other in different videos, mention each other all the time, and a blanket ban would mean to have to sift through everything to make sure everything is fine.

It also means being kinda forced to blanket ban anything TKO related, including UFC which I'm guessing is still a big part of the discussion in the MMA community. And that's not trying to create a false parallel, if WWE is a problem then their parent company obviously is too, so everything they represent needs to be banned.

Now people always talk about the incompetence of the Trump administration and how he is losing power and that republicans are starting to turn on him and all of this stuff, but I am a skeptical pessimist which is not helping me at all. I do not know who to believe anymore and I fear of having false hope. Things are just starting to not look good, and I am starting to wonder if I should start finding ways to flee this country somehow. Right now, I am 30 living at home with only like 700 bucks to my name. Countries want the best migrating to their countries and not...people like me, which is understandable, but that dooms me to being stuck living in a dictatorship. I don't know what to do.

We are doing what we can to defend Democracy. I got 4 people to vote yes on California's proposition 50, with the 4th vote being mine. We donate to organizations trying to fight for Democracy but sadly protesting has been a no go. My mom won't go due to fears of a possible shooting at these protests. I tried convincing her, but she won't do it and apparently, she knows a lot of people on Facebook who are also too scared to protest. I never learned how to drive as I see them as death traps and I have like social anxiety, so I am not going if she is not going. She is also scared of me being shot and killed at one of these protests and I don't want to put her though that, but honestly at this point, I am wondering if it's just time to flee at this point.
I feel kind of stupid working on my goals when this is turning into a country that I do not want to live in, so I am not even sure what I am even doing anymore.

We ban WWE for being part of the Trump admin but we don’t ban MS for being active participants in genocide? Do we ban EA because they are soon to be owned by Trumps son in law?
