When you are convinced that you are the Morally Correct Good Guy on the Right Side of History, every ban is an injustice.
They never learn anything. How many times has Crossing Eden been banned for being an aggressive piece of shit? Currently banned for six months and will come back and continue being the same aggressive piece of shit.
Their permabans result in a worsening community, but they keep letting the biggest arseholes come back.

Joanne's fascist stormtroopers announce that TERF Island is officially a no-go zone for marginalized people who now face a direct threat to their safety:
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cwyp1gk0n23o wrote:The Metropolitan Police says it will no longer investigate non-crime hate incidents to allow officers to "focus on matters that meet the threshold for criminal investigations".
The announcement came as the Met confirmed it was dropping a probe into Father Ted creator Graham Linehan after he was arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of inciting violence in posts on X.
Mr Linehan was arrested by five officers on 1 September after arriving on a flight from the US, sparking a backlash from some public figures and politicians.
The Crown Prosecution Service said it had decided no further action should be taken in the writer's case following a "careful review" of the evidence supplied by police.
In a statement on Monday addressing non-crime hate incidents, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said it "understands the concern" around the case.
"The commissioner has been clear he doesn't believe officers should be policing toxic culture war debates, with current laws and rules on inciting violence online leaving them in an impossible position," the spokesperson said.
The policy change would "provide clearer direction for officers, reduce ambiguity and enable them to focus on matters that meet the threshold for criminal investigations," the spokesperson added.
Non-crime hate incidents are alleged acts perceived to be motivated by hostility or prejudice towards people with certain characteristics, such as race or transgender identity.
Remember, police aren't going to side with you when faced with bigots being violent to you because cops are in favor of that. Which is why they're declaring war on people having safety like this. You need to arm up and apply self-defense yourself. Make Nazis afraid to show their face in public again and people will be able to start having a dignified life again instead of one built on Black oppression.
Additional remember that this is yet again proof that you can't trust libs like in Labour to protect minorities from capitalism, colonialism and white supremacy. Anyone telling you to ever compromise with fascism is a fascist and wants you dead.
There's video of Graham Platner (communist running for Senator in Maine's Democratic primary) showing that he has a SS-Totenkopf tattoo. Era's leftist hero turns out to be a literal Nazi.

Here’s a vet who struggled after serving the country…comes out of his PTSD and decides to serve his country again as a US Senator. End of story. Anyone who uses this against him should be unemployed.

I am 75 years old and when I think about what I said to my good friends who had served tours in Vietnam Nam, my heart breaks at my naive views and lack of empathy. What we say in any given time cannot define our whole lives. This man seems to have reflected on his roots, grown through his experiences and worked his way to the honest, articulate, sincere person he is today. Isn’t this what we want as an example for this generation? I am again ashamed of the DNC.

I'm a center left former army guy and I'm here to tell you that this guy is completely legit. I basically followed his exact path through life, including being a security contractor at a US embassy in Iraq, except I'm from NM so not much fishing. Went through the disillusionment he describes, all that stuff he's talking about to the letter. Even went through a weird troll phase just like him after the army. I was honestly embarrassed at how similar we were when he started telling his stories about coming back from the military, doing dumb shit like signing up to be a contractor even though I already felt furious at the whole establishment. Even rambling too long about the military when someone who doesn't know asks you about it. Painfully similar, lol. Just wanted to say that as a guy who lived an oddly similar life to him I was nodding my head to virtually everything he said. This is the exact type of guy I want in charge of things. Wants to change shit from an honest place, working with the dems despite reservations because its the only semblance of sanity left in our politics, bad as they often are. Wish I could vote for him, honestly.

Much like Mamdani, Platner speaks from the heart with authenticity. Humans have an innate ability to pickup on authenticity and truth through subtle patterns in speech, body language, etc. Mamdani, Platner, and various other members of the squad and progressive caucus have the support of wide constituencies because of this.

The fact that establishment Dems and the corporate media are both trying to stall this dude's campaign is a clear sign that he's the one we need in office. His past comments highlight his love of the people of this country, his disdain for being bought out by billionaires, and his passion for change and a new way of doing things. I'm on board 100%

Democrats need to stop with the purity tests. He admitted fault, apologized and grew from his mistakes. If the Democrats go after him for this BS - be prepared to lost Maine again. We will never win with these candidates who are not authentic. Thanks for having him on, I like him and I hope he wins.

Graham strikes me as a person who has evolved, and will likely keep evolving. In an era of cancel culture and intractable views I find Graham's honesty refreshing. This is the kind of authenticity we need in elected office.

Hope Graham Platner makes it through this. People get emotionally rabid and they stop thinking.
Remember droves of democrats are walking away from voting for corporate, PAC and lobby bought politicians. No more “establishment democrats!”

If we excommunicate people forever if they ever say something bad, no one will ever have the motivation to get better. The voters we need to attract to create a working class majority all had, or still have, unideal views on many things. We need to leave the door open for them and be understanding, you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar

Strange how these weren't met with bans considering staff members posted RIP in the thread. Though I guess you can get away with disrespecting the recently deceased (who aren't on Era's sworn enemies list) if you quote your concerns over male-on-female sexual harassment.

Maximillan_Dood is getting hate for paying respects to Itagaki, but I don't really understand it. Some people are making it out that he was some big DOA hater suddenly jumping on a bandwagon after Itagaki's death, but at worst it seems he just didn't really play or care much for it?
It's one thing if he were some virtue signaling cuck who complained about breasts, but as far I'm aware, he's never done that before? At worst, it seemed he didn't care for the gameplay nor fanservice?
Especially since people are posting that one old screencap of a tweet where he said "DOA is finally focusing on making their characters look cool instead of the jiggly bits" as if that were some sort of big crime. It honestly seems like forced hate by unhinged neckbeards who spend too much time on 4chan or something.
Spoiler: (click to show)(click to hide)
Though I guess it could be a pretty bad look he has an Era account.....
I have conflicted feelings on DoA because on the one hand it is a male gaze product with designs that women should be critical of, and bearing in mind that I never really played one much but I did rent DoA 4 to look at the graphics even though I knew it was bad. And of course there was the volleyball gooner game, I did play that but not the main games. Anyway, this is a large part of how I knew I was always a woman, that I could play these games and not be infected.

You don’t have to be a big DOA fan to pay your respects to Itagaki. I’m not one myself because I never got into the series probably due to never owning an Xbox during the series’ heyday. Reducing DOA to the “titty ninja game” is a bit silly since literally every piece of mature media around that time at some level of sex appeal in it. For me, I remember DOA for having these crazy music video endings. Look at this insanely cool cinematic for the baguette lady.
the only thing I know about DOA was the time where there were rumblings of a new 3DS hack that didn't require any hardware modification where you could just do it through user generated content that caused a buffer overflow to run arbitrary code and the rumor was it was either DOA or Cubic Ninja so I ordered DOA and then it turned out the game was actually Cubic Ninja so to this day I have this DOA game I don't care about at all that I just bought for the hack but then I also ordered Cubic Ninja and the game suddenly became really hard to find at high prices because everybody was buying it for the hack and then the guy selling it to me had the audacity to message me saying "hey man uh it might take me a while to send it to you, are you sure you still want it, could be a month" because he wanted me to cancel so he could re-list it at a higher price and I said "nah man I'm good, just get it to me whenever you can" and eventually I received it and got the homebrew channel and all that
