Isn't this how democracy should work though? I doubt "most of the people" are over 90, so they still have to believe that someone fast approaching that age is capable of representing their interests. Ultimately, this all comes down to the question whether we believe voters are capable of making informed decisions and it's kinda hard to say you believe in democracy, if you think that's fundamentally impossible. Of course, there are external factors here, like the media and how that is negatively affecting things, as well as the general level of education and political education in particular. Though those are factors that are hard to address, let alone fix.

What a truly terrible article. It would be infinitely more effective at shining light on this issue if it wasn’t so obviously and aggressively badly (and with such bias) written.
