I just think it's a really bad look to keep someone who said the things he said in a position of power/leadership.

I think he should at least address this but in the end I still feel he should be stripped of his position and people trying to go "well it must be stress" or "we don't know what his work is behind the scenes" is just BS. I'll say again, if anyone else said the things he did , they would have gotten rightfully ridiculed and permabanned from this site. Continuing to do nothing about this is just making this place look worse and worse.

So what's going on with the manager situation, will anything be done about it?

I know, it's a very bad look for the staff and for this site in general and I know people will accuse me of being "overly sensitive" about this or asking why I care about this but I just hate the blatant hypocrisy of it all, it rubs me the wrong way.

t's really sad there has been no response to this yet , I just hope they are doing something about this behind the scenes (I highly doubt this though). If nothing is done about this, I cannot take any future warning/bans seriously. Something needs to be done about this.

So will this ever be addressed? I'll ask every day until people get sick of it and I get thread banned. This shouldn't be forgotten, the longer this goes without a decent response from the staff the more pathetic it looks.

This non response is one of the most pathetic things I've seen on this website , the staff here is a joke.

In this case, an apology is not enough , manager should willingly or be forced to step down. A person in his position should know better than go off the handle like he did and. A simple "my bad I apologize" is not good enough.

it is staff responsibility to give this community some type of response/update to this situation to alleviate any concerns people like me have over someone getting away with reprehensible behavior when any other person on this forum would (and rightfully so) have faced consequences already.

Looking back, it's truly a testament to Nep's bravery that she still has the strength to carry on after that trauma, still selflessly educating the masses on imperialism and how to take specific grassroots action to dismantle capitalism. All the while she has that despicable fiend still looming over her, likely waiting for another chance to strike.

She'd have to define capitalism first and she can't. Which is why her utopia not only is still capitalism yet stupider but likely would still have money as she regularly says there would be businesses selling and operating as they do now.

She's also argued that destroying capitalism doesn't mean replacing it with anything specific, not even socialism, that there's "thousands" of things you could do instead.

It's a topic where she's completely operating in bad faith because she doesn't know anything about what's she talking about.

She's also ignorant of anyone outside herself, most people don't work low level entry-level jobs in certain sectors like she does so they don't make the minimum wage. Especially not after their early years in the work force. This is why there's never any "mass movement" about the minimum wage except from public sector unions whose contracts are based on it. Billionaires especially don't give a shit about fighting the minimum wage, it doesn't effect their businesses like it does smaller competitors that won't be able to afford it and have to sell to the billionaires.

She thinks "fighting capitalism" is "opposing billionaires" but the only position she ever takes that billionaires would be upset about (compared to, say, Booshka) is when she advocates murdering about a thousand of them as the only thing "we" need to do to have endless global paradise.

Had extended family (my parents, in-laws, wife's grandmother) over this weekend for my daughter's birthday. Somehow licenses in California and Memphis were being brought up and how "they" were scrambling to get "real license plates" instead of paper ones for their cars so they don't get pulled over by ICE. Wife made it clear that wasn't appropriate talk for our daughter's birthday party. Mother-in-law got incensed that she was dared "spoken to in such a way" while her grandmother just laughed.

"Sure laugh, but you're not talking about this when you won't even listen to what I have to say," my wife says.

30 minutes later everyone leaves awkwardly.

I hope the television and Fox provides her grandmother comfort and it's worth it. We lived with her for about a year around 14 years ago and she wasn't nowhere near as bad. We left for our own place when our daughter was born (we were celebrating her 13th) and something happened in that time we were gone where she gradually moved from watching NBC to Fox. She started listening us less and less when we visited her weekly. So we started visiting less and less. Now it's only holidays and not even all of them anymore.

Sorry for the rant. Guess I needed that after we spent the entire week prepping for this party and it ended up being a wet fart. Because we dared to push back against their repeated propaganda. I know that would be a lot of work. Alternatively if mods can collect a list of food pantries near members losing benefits, we can make a thread asking to donate to those (and of course your local food pantry).

Just to finish up my obsessive fan-fiction because I thought of this while playing Titanfall 2 (which weirdly has 3000+ noobs running around in it this weekend, was it added on GenocidePass or something?), if you said to Nepenthe that abolishing capitalism means artists would no longer be able to take commissions on anything they want for any price they want she would either (or possibly all):
1. Deny this, which indicates she doesn't understand what makes capitalism capitalism.
2. Go into some long diatribe about how under capitalism you can't do this because [incoherent nonsense] and [her own personal inability to do this].
3. Insist that abolishing this would be better because it would mean artists could just do whatever they wanted and not have to worry about selling it.
