First of all, I doubt Kojima is using Gen video AI, secondly, neither me or Kojima can do anything but video gen AI existing, so why are you angry at me?

As usual, she has to force an all or nothing choice that's rigged: either you support racists making false videos (with AI) as part of upholding white supremacy or you don't want any algorithms that have access to large amounts of data to ever exist. It's easy for her to choose to be a good person, why are you struggling with it?

And it guarantees that everyone else will fail her because nobody's going to delete these from existence and block them from ever being created again, it's more likely that governments will take up AI for things because it's an unaccountable bureaucrats dream. The "nudgers" and "market socialists" are going to come back around with "how AI can solve capitalism" in no time and start demanding the state use it to replace standard decision making. Then she'll be able to cast them out like she was the "Abundance" guys (who were all previously on board with nudging and before that market socialism) a few weeks ago and blame them for all the problems of the world.

Would be a lot of 2K26 MyCAREEER story recently since it was 50% off. Some of the world's worst writing, acting and dialogue intersped with a few minutes of me grabbing tons of rebounds and never shooting outside three feet because my ratings are too low to risk anything else. They even got a new voice actor for MP this year and it sounds like he's whining with every sentence he says.

Also I was inspired by a street baller in one cut scene who had a completely yellow outfit down to his shoes to find out how you edit the shoe colors in game and made some hilariously disgusting looking Chuck Taylors (ideal arch support for a 2025 professional player), though I spend all my VC on my ratings so I can't buy them from the store yet. (The regular black ones are 3000 VC, my ones titled "barf" are 7500 VC. The store charging the artist more for his own shoes? Fucking capitalism.) That would have been riveting to watch as I tried to decide which colors looked worst on which parts of the shoe.

+1. The April test was my first time playing an extraction shooter and combined with this it's been a great introduction - playing mostly solo but with a few sessions duo. I'll apply and keep my fingers crossed for any other test between now and release, which suddenly feels too far away lol.

I live in a Euro country so metric is my jam. But my parents grew up on imperial, so I know both systems. Weight's fine, volume's fine, speed's fine.

But as someone currently doing a bit of home DIY and watching a bunch of DIY videos, measurements smaller than an inch have broken me. Why do you measure stuff as 1/16" of an inch? It's not 1mm, it's not 2mm. It's 1.58mm. What point is that? Even most UK builders who use imperial use millimeters for precise measurements.

One sixteenth of an inch. Two and three-eighths of an inch. Why? Just...why man.

I went through this with fishing weights lol, 1/32 of an oz? that's 0.886 grams? why?

It sounds simple to just say it like that. But it stops being that simple as soon as you need to add or subtract something. 2mm+5mm is 7mm but 3/16ths+1/2in all of the sudden breaks the simplicity of it's all halves. Like yes if you're used to this you know to change 1/2 to 8/16ths, and now it's easy... But there's an extra step in here, it can't be easier than a single step problem

I can see how they got there if the starting point was breaking things into 1/4, but the second it got to 1/8 and below they should have reconsidered.

Non-sequitur about waffles. My point was that if you believe metric is somehow beyond just an established standard I'm not surprised you can't comprehend fractions or the idea that a system can't be based on something it predates. Something which some people in that thread are trying to falsely claim (mostly by pulling out their education credentials) against someone who does know better and has posted so.

There's gobs of posts in that thread complaining about and demanding the Imperial System be abolished by force because they can't figure out what an ounce is supposed to be or why something would be measured in an ounce at a store. That's stupid, you're stupid, it's literally no different as if it was listed in liters because you don't need to know both systems at all for this. And I know you can't "guess" what 30 milliliters would look like either, your problem isn't solved. Metric may be superior but this isn't a relevant complaint that the metric system addresses because the metric system can't solve your inability to do abstract thinking.

People needed to transport things before lorrys and trains were invented too and then people promptly stopped using "horsecart" as the delivery method on their amazon shopping, because it was clearly the inferior method
