Systems have to be designed around the idea that people's behaviour will result from an unwillingness to pause, read and consider because they're not going to pay attention to site-wide notices. I do think changing the "report" button to a "flag/highlight" would be fruitful, especially as report system is used for a lot more reasons than sending in simple reports.

I mean, from what I gather, imgur doesn't work in the UK anymore and that's it. I can't remember a single instance on this forum where the majority of users completely changed their habits, to-go websites or even minor game selections due to locally restricted shenanigans going on, not even if those happen in the US. And overall, imgur is still by far the most convenient image uploader, despite all of its issues. Heck, there's still people posting Twitter links en masse.



Era is and has always been US mainstream centric and the majority of its users don't really give too much of a shit about issues in other countries. Give it some time until/if it's gonna be blocked in more regions, or more "relevant" countries in lack of a better word, maybe EU will follow for example, and it will likely steer behavior towards other sites. Until then, I'm afraid this is gonna be a UK problem, not a rest-of-the-world one, and you will kinda have to hope for at least some users being more thoughtful and accept that many just do not care until staff blocks imgur completely.



It's kinda the mirror world version of the whole "why can't I say my UK swearwords despite them being offensive in the rest of the world" thing.

(I completely agree that people overall don't care for Era banner notices though if they don't directly, immediately affect them. A good action RPG game that was unfortunately targeted by one of the most successful hate campaigns in gaming. Seeing in real time people being gaslit by chuds into believing this was a horrible game was something to behold.

I was already on the outs with Dragon Age due to Bioware's white lib centrism hanging out all over the place in Inquisition but Veilguard singlehandedly murdered any love I had left for the series. Like what's even the point of anything I did in the other games if the south is gonna get nuked offscreen. Returning characters are empty shells due to the lack of worldstates. The game was targeted for being "woke" yet is shockingly racist (see above re white lib centrism). As someone who doesn't care about Solas or DA elves all the lore reveals were just like. Of course Solas/the elves did everything bc he is Trick Weekes's specialest little boy. Speaking of Trick Weekes go check out their Escapism panel appearance bc it explains a LOT about why the writing in Veilguard was Like That.
