Hey guys, I posted this over on reddit. I know this forum doesn't take these things that kindly. I simply want to share what I saw. I am copy/pasting my reddit post. I might be slow to answer any questions because of irl things. Thank you for taking your time to read it if you do.

Hi guys, this is a throwaway account because I don't want people knowing my mental status. I won't go in too great of detail. It took me a while to finally want to share this.

This happened in 2021. I will start by saying, I am diagnosed with a mental illness that may cause hallucinations(I want to be honest), but please believe what I saw. I was very apathetic at the time, but also very depressed. I really did sort of give up. Not end my life type, but, stop trying to better myself type. I was in a really bad state. I believed in God back then still, but would not go to him for answers. I remember one day on the television a verse came up on some program. Where it states that God will not give you more than you can handle(I know it might be out of context). I verbally out loud said "Really?!". I went through that week sluggishly and with little hope. I remember having a dream first, I saw a demon in my face growling, with foam coming out of its mouth. I didn't care, I was apathetic to it. Then I woke up, I saw a small child sized red person figure(made of small red lines) walking toward my computer, and then slowly disappearing(almost like particles). I was a bit surprised, but didn't think much of it. I got up to use the restroom as usual. I would always go looking down at the floor. I could make out in the distance a white object. It was walking towards me. I slowly was beginning to look up and knew(but didn't care) it was a person. I looked up and got to their shoulder, but then I don't know why til this day, looked down involuntarily(maybe to protect me). I then went into the restroom not thinking about it.

I will say, the next day I went into a mental hospital due to my condition. I stayed there a week and also went through many different jarring things. So yes, I believe I saw Jesus(or at least an angel) walk by me that day. And that he was preparing me for the following week which was insanely difficult mentally. I've changed since then. I have hope now, I've been baptized, and I attend church(lately I haven't). I believe truly Jesus is the son of God. God incarnate. As far as what I saw, it was a man. I know this because I could see their chest, and there was no feminine sign. It was a white robe that covered his feet and arms entirely. I did not see any skin or hair at all. The top part of the robe was sort of rolled up cloth around the neck. Going by my height, he was around 5'5 to 5'7. His robe was white like a cloud(very slightly gray if you look closely). He was not shining. So yes, that is what I saw. I feel relieved finally sharing it. I hope it gives some of you hope knowing that our Savior is alive and helping us to this day. God bless.

Spent months preparing for the that moment in adulthood where I'd time travel back. How I could do more than warn myself of untied shoes. Asking myself why didn't I say more that rainy afternoon. I developed an obsession and kept a journal of all my thoughts from that day forward.



Then I found out it was my estranged father and he had been doing that shit off and on my entire life like a weirdo instead of asking my mom for 
visitation.

Hey all, I know many of you have let your social media presence lapse over the years. In the last year I've made some rather huge life changing decisions. Early this year I left my career of 17 years (ministry) and have stepped away from religion as much as one can after having been immersed in it for almost 2 decades.



At 3 AM election night last year I "deactivated" all of my Meta social media (deleted Twitter when Musk bought it in 2022). I reactivated them in February to announce to friends and family my career change and because I desperately needed to network for a new job. At first is was just to have a small presence, but I slowly started using them again regularly, posting about things to make it clear where I stood on important issues. I wanted to make sure I wasn't being complicit in my silence, especially by my association in conservative religious spaces.



I "deactivated" again after the Charlie Kirk shit, because people I knew locally were losing their jobs just by simply quoting the heinous shit he said. Then, while tempted to make another post addressing the insanity of everything a few weeks later, I showed my wife what I wanted to post and I could tell it made her really nervous. Not because she didn't agree, but because she was worried about me losing my job. So

I downloaded my archives and deleted my accounts.



Well, deleting is a 30 day waiting period, and I've always enjoyed my connections on social media, I've enjoyed staying in the know in the lives of people I care about but no longer live near or have much depth of relationship to. Toxic as I believe social media to be, and as much as I can't stand what Meta is and how Zuckerberg is, I'm struggling to just let go of all of it for good. Whatever voice I had in ministry, any influence I had in those spaces, is gone tomorrow. It's been nice not opening those apps and doomscrolling, but I find myself just doomscrolling elsewhere.



So, I suppose what I'm looking for is that last push to do it or just set my accounts back to deactivated status. I don't want my silence to be complicit with fascism and everything else harming people around me. In my new career space I've thrived in building new relationships and meeting a ton of new people from so many different walks of life (diversity not present in my previous career).



This could also just be a broader discussion of how we use our voices this current environment, with or without these communi

If the ethical complaint about ARC Raiders gen AI voices is that that could have easily been VA instead, the end result is the exact same.
A software tool was used instead of hiring a human performer.

Vocal synthesis was trained on a dataset of human pronounced phonemes, same as non "genAI" AND GenAI text to speech was.
The actual difference in process is fairly small, the difference in result even smaller.

Its why I picked Hatsune Miku as my example, because the people on twitter loudly bitching that an AI can also copy a Disney character but add a big furry cock as a commission and its ruining their livelihood, fucking love hatsune miku.
