Im affected by this SNAP crisis deeply and if mods gave approval for me to get as angry and nasty as I want to say about this fucking genocidal tyrant then I would but I'm not looking to catch a ban. I'll just say im deeply affected and I lost weight this month from the snap crisis which only gives me $290 per month to eat with and I can't even use it on hot or "prepared" foods, only packaged foods and produce. No toilet paper, no tampons, no paper towels, no diapers, no pet litter or food, no alcohol and definitely nothing from the hot bar at the grocery store. So it's already limited especially for me in a city with 10% retail sales tax and a sugar tax on the poor since things with sugar are most of what you can buy that is a good value calorically per dollar and the bags to bring home your groceries can't be paid for with EBT food (snap) either. A lot of ignorance about snap, and very little patience do I have for the kind of smarmy or arrogant ignorance many casually display in these topics.

But trump will never be forgiven nor forgotten by me for this, nor many I know.

He's incoherent so it's not entirely clear, but it's one or both of these:
1. States are looking to block buying of junk food with SNAP/EBT because the feds are starting to allow some of this and people in Congress want to ban it outright, he's trying to claim this will be an additional tax on the poor because the only foods you can get decent calories from is that. He uses the present tense but this hasn't happened yet anywhere, the states that are doing it are doing it for 2026.
