I interned in a psych hospital in SF in the late 90s and we had 3 patients that thought they were Jesus. We couldn't allow them in the same room together because they would attack each other for being "false idols". One guy we had to pretend to crucify him every morning when he got up and he'd spend most of the day standing against a wall with his arms spread out like a cross. This was a routine he insisted on doing every day and it kept him calm. Aside from these guys we had quite a few patients that believed they spoke to Jesus on a regular basis.

The Eurogamer Arc Raders review thread came back to life because of the COD review controversy. It's a fun read.

One thing stuck out to me as I read it though. On one side, you have people saying "Eurogamer should be consistent in dinging games for AI if they're going to start doing this.". On they other side, you have people saying "well reviews are subjective and even at a given publisher they do not have a monolithic opinion, so it is fine that different reviewers weigh this issue differently."

But it's the latter group that is the most vehemently anti-AI. Why are they defending a review outlet for not arbitrarily docking review points when genAI is used for development? 

In the first 10 or so pages, they're throwing a gala for Eurogamer for taking a principled stand, but now they're tied up in knots explaining how it wasn't a stand, there was never a stand, it's just random review like anything, please disperse. 

It's like Eurogamer's reputation is more important to protect than than an AI-free future.

To be fair this food stamp thing sounds like a proper communist/nanny state nightmare. I don't see why those in receipt of benefits shouldn't be paid in cash. It should be up to Mr.Poop to decide if he wants to spend his benefits on tampons and grocery bags not the state.

Allow me to explain just because it's what I do, Dr. Nothing Loud is not on "welfare" or "benefits" as might typically be understood or that someone like Melody Shreds might pursue. But you're allowed to go on SNAP just temporarily like with unemployment benefits (which he likely has been getting as well since he lost his lone post-PhD job after May) under which you're given a debit card that can be used on literally 95% of food in the grocery store. Everyone else understands this and has for some time but he apparently thought food stamps could buy his tampons and more VR systems.

He will almost certainly never get on the other kind as long as he has a house in his name that's currently listed at an expected market price above $800K. This white supremacist capitalist hellworld unfortunately still has some fascist standards in place on its welfare benefits.

The one thing preventing him from pursuing the loophole, disability, is despite constantly writing for years about all his made-up disabilities he's still stuck in his delusion that some company is going to pay him seven figures to be a DATA SCIENTIST now that he has a PhD. He has posts describing this as the greatest achievement in his family's entire history because the rest are all lowlife failures like Latinx always are and he alone has triumphed over this destiny with his personal greatness.

I want platonic and romantic relationships but don't want to do the work for them. Always question if it's something I even want. I usually do things to get a reaction from someone not for my own benefit or enjoyment. I hate this world but I do little to help change it. I fear and hate men at times even though I am one myself. I see a therapist and psychiatrist and might be trying TMS soon but I don't see it working nor do I care if it does. The idea of working my whole life is exhausting but it's the only place I want to be at times besides my bed. I live with my parents and love them I think but barely engage with them. After they die who knows what'll happen really. Desiring things feels wrong. Constantly lurking Reddit, Facebook, and past ResetEra threads for validation or finding rules maybe to what to do in life, how to be a good person all day everyday gets sad every time but I keep doing it. Knowing you're doing the wrong thing wasting money and overeating but can never stop. Lose 70 pounds just to gain back 100. Always changing opinions depending on who I'm talking to so I don't actually feel like a person or maybe I just feel intimidated by everyone and don't want to confront or anger. Lose interest in every hobby I had. Just constant overthinking leading to inaction.

Sorry don't know what I was going for really just something I've been thinking about a lot. I probably don't even want an answer. Sitting here because I overslept a couple hours of work and feel like a failure for doing so.

as another example: it's ok to hate trump, but it's also ok to call someone hypocritical for claiming to hate something he does but loved it when obama or biden did the same thing
