Dumb Kulturkampf In Gaming Story:
In Titanfall 2 tonight these dudes were talking about puppygirl this and HRT that, which is a fairly regular occurrence (at least twice a week somebody talks about how they're trans, though most of them have usernames and clan tags making this obvious), then this other loser started yelling about how they're pedos and probably had to get castrated for diddling kids so then the trans dudes started yelling that he was obsessed with kids gentials and probably a repressing egg who would crack in a year. They argued about this for like ten minutes while intermittently playing which made it even worse. Usually like a completely sane person I don't talk to anyone in game except for instances like the other week where there was a BlastHardcheese so I started saying some of the other names on respawn and some other guy did too to the point where people kept asking what was going on and what any of it meant until BlastHardcheese said "you might learn someday." (Then when the evac ship was taking off I said "calgon, take me away.")

Anyway, because these morons were ruining the match I eventually said "leave em alone, just because they're misogynists doesn't mean they're pedophiles" and one of them went "I can't be, I'm a girl." And I was like, boom got em, too easy.

I watched some of those "debates" this week (well, had them play in the background while working). This lady is about as far-gone as it goes on the subject, but she still more or less delivers the same usual talking points, with a soft voice, a smile and a condescending tone, wish is refreshing considering we're used to more yelling and hysteria when this subject is discussed. The fact that the people on this subreddit, who are very much on the same page as her, are asking her to stop, is very telling. It means, deep down, they know their positions are undefendable for the most part. That's why they never engage. It's one-way yelling on X/Bluesky only.

This lady might, at best, be completely delusional, and at worst, a grifter of the highest order (apparently her trans healthcare business was extremely lucrative), but I still give her kudos for actually engaging. She did an absolutely horrible job, but she tried.

The 50-year-old said that on Aug 13 he had posted a picture of himself on LinkedIn holding a shotgun while on a private homestead with friends during a holiday in Florida.
Mr Richelieu-Booth claims the LinkedIn message contained nothing he considered threatening, with the picture attached to a lengthy post about his day and work activities.
However, he said that a police officer later visited his home to warn him that concerns had been raised about the post.
“I was told to be careful what I say online and I need to understand how it makes people feel,” he said.
Mr Richelieu-Booth said he offered to provide officers with proof that the picture of the firearm had been taken while he was in the US but the officers said that was not necessary.
Mr Richelieu-Booth said two officers then returned to his home shortly after 10pm on Aug 24 and arrested him.
A bail document seen by The Telegraph refers to an allegation of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and a further allegation of stalking related to a photograph of a house that appeared on his social media.
He said he was held overnight in a cell before being interviewed.
Mr Richelieu-Booth said he was then initially released on bail until late October.
He alleges that police officers then visited his property on three further occasions before he was re-arrested in October for allegedly breaching his bail conditions. However, that charge was later dropped.


The firearms and stalking allegations were also dropped but Mr Richelieu-Booth was charged with a public order offence relating to a different social media post.
He claims not to know what post he was being charged in relation to and does not recall being questioned by police about any specific post made on that date.
He had been due to appear at Bradford magistrates’ court on Nov 25 charged with an offence of displaying “any writing/sign/visible representation with intent to cause harassment/alarm or distress”. However, that charge was also later dropped, he said.

Actually, the funniest part of those tweets are that they're saying that Trump is an authoritarian dictator.
