I had posted this on the Kpop thread but this took incredible courage given the industry he works in. Absolute king shit.

"Transmasculine" with "he/him" pronouns automatically contradicts "non-binary" because it's still within the binary. They literally don't give a shit that it doesn't make any sense and so should just be ignored. I noticed on Twitter that if these people are replied to challenging things like this they will fight to the ends of the earth into the weeds about literally everything. But if you just point out their blatant misogyny they never reply and probably block you.

They have no argument against it because their entire theory is predicated on the idea that there is a "man enough" and "woman enough" level and anyone who fails to meet it can't be that thing. So this is the way forward, drag the bigots for being bigots.

That's true. We live in a society where the worst of the worst face no consequences and are actively rewarded.

Not just elite powerful people like Donald Trump, but also former nobodies who go viral for being a POS (that lady who called a kid the N-word for example). If they face any consequences, they become martyrs and other POS people funnel tons and tons and tons of money to them (the likes of which the majority of us honest hard working people will never see) because they are also POSs.

We have to understand that morality is irrelevant to capitalism. Empathy, connection, compassion. It's not that only if they are profitable, is anything worth a damn; it's worse: that even that has become "merchandise". A product that capitalism sells. Honesty has become an item. When even the fundamental notions of "good" have been hollowed up to become commodities, how can most not become anything but apathetic people?

We say it ourselves. "There's no ethical anything under capitalism", and capitalism is...everything so....there's no ethical anything anymore. How can we make any society believe in good, if good died? It's a subconscious void.

But...it's not the end. We, of course, will see much more of the bad than the good, but if Marx ever taught us anything is that society is a dialectical entity. If capitalism breeds apathy, then dialetically it will create, even if through much struggle, empathy. And it's harder to see, but it is real: there are so, so many people and groups who, every day, strive to make this place a little bit better. We have to keep fighting.

depends. i'm a marxist and a communist, for most of history we'd have to converse with people with radically different beliefs than you, and that's not just okay but positive. communists, socialists, structuralists, actual liberals (who know about real liberalism). hell, even inside communism, you have Marxist-Leninists, Trotskyists, and so many others. it's enlightening to have conversations with honest people, even if they differ from your political beliefs.

what's different is conversing with dishonest people. far right reactionaries, fascists, nazis. even sometimes "progressive" liberals who defended the bombing and exploitation of people across the globe. their "political beliefs" are skewed, they are compromised and faulty. their "ideology" is just a disguise for capitalist violence, imperial domination, racial hierarchy, etc.

i can disagree all day with liberalism and how it proposes a solution to the fundamental issues of society, i can't however try to argue with a "liberal" who watches their nation hoard wealthy by imperialist exploitation of underdeveloped nations and deems that "natural" (or conveniently dismiss it). those people, yeah, i tend to stay away from. in "prettier" terms, it's the classic Marxist notion that: some opinions represent different rational interpretations of life; others represent the interests of the dominant class or built with false premises

It's so weird how they believe this when they're constantly advocating to cut yourself off from your family, cut yourself off from anything that might involve chuds, never communicate with Suppressive Persons, that nobody should ever make you emotionally labor for anything, openly advocate that nobody should work, constantly demand their debts be forgiven, etc.

And at the same time they all universally (correctly) see Trump's trade wars and tariffs as economically negative. If capitalism wanted people to atomize away from everyone then why would these be negative? Why does capitalism want to sell you Nintendo Switches manufactured in Southeast Asia for a company in Japan? Why does Disney care about what China wants?

And morals and ethics and "good"? They completely reject what the masses believe about these things. They'd accept community bonds that tell them no, they're the sex they're born as and they will marry someone of the opposite sex and provide for them and the two and a half children? The connections that tell them white people are allowed to wear space buns in video games and ignore genocide in Gaza? The collective will that says there's enough Black characters in Smash Bros.? The real connection that tells them they need to worship our lord and savior Jesus Christ and attend church every Sunday? Of course not, they always prioritize their individual views on all this over the mass majority of the communities they inhabit.

They're lamenting the supposed absence of something they openly reject and refuse to participate in then turn around and imagine themselves forcing everyone else to participate in only the ways they want and would allow. Picture an entire "compassionate" world where everyone is themselves and how much better it would be with a mandatory "community" imposed over the will of each individual who might deign to be different. The perfect utopia of empathy where mass violence is used to make you labor for the "moral" elite rather than allow any individual to pursue unapproved mutual interests and bonds. Endless freedom to do as you're told.

I don't think I would give anyone side eyes in grocery store. Grocery is grocery. But I've definitely given people side eyes for ordering chow mein and general tso at authentic Chinese restaurants. That's just disrespectful to the chef.

I live in a zone where there is a lot of East Asian and there is a lot of failed Chinese restaurants/shops. A lot of them fail because they don’t accommodate to the Mexican majority and think the zone is good enough to support them. 

The ones that actually bother in having employees that speak Spanish and accommodate to locals (while still catering to the East Asian population of the district) are the ones successful.
