After my first break-up I want to learn from it for whatever the future might bring when it comes to relationships and personalities.

I think my ex-partner is avoidant, so I want to learn more about it.

I always thought, with putting everyones well being at the top most priority, taking care of each other, logic, reason, understanding and support everything can be resolved to everyones satisfaction.

But apparently not.



I think I never really understood my partner until I started to analyze and did some research after the break-up.



I think my ex-partner might be avoidant:

- To talk about emotions and to make myself understood about emotional issues was close to impossible.

- Sometimes honest things were seen and misunderstood as manipulation, when I even was able to prove that theres no manipulation going on and my partner never apologized for it.

- Important information (could literally be about life and death matters) was thrown at me without further context/information and to even get any context/information was almost impossible to get.

- Not even preparing me for the negative impact of the information or easing me into it, just "here, this is the information" and nothing more.

- Issues were never really discussed to the point were they were resolved, they were just ignored.

- Impossible to see things from another persons perspective

- ...and much more



So if anyone please can share about emotionally avoidant behaviour and wants/can share, please do.

Yeah, I'm starting to feel really isolated because social media is a nightmare as a whole and the ones I dabble in are becoming toxic and uncomfortable, and obviously I stay away from others.



It sucks because I don't want want to contribute to the toxicity that has become rampant, and I do not want to give my data and interactions to MAGA billionaires for many of those sites, but then I end up isolating myself like the guy who lives off the grid because he hates the government.



And that starts to affect my mental health too.

They seem genuinely annoyed and bitter that their protocol comes at the expense of running a social media service to show it off.

God I can't wait for Northsky to be out so I can transfer my account over there. Wafrn is also an option I suppose (but that's more niche, and that name's awful).

I'd say it would be prudent for Bluesky to remember we left Twitter in hopes of greener -- kinder -- pastures, but they know we don't have anywhere else to go.
