Usually studios cover the tickets and awards costs. So the winners never need to pay it themselves. But it is the norm for awards that you have to pay for seats (depending on who you are) and awards.

As importantly you'd have to see the entire chart to know what to combine from lower down that would then become the #1. Just hypothetically if a whole bunch of searches in their system resolve to "transgender" it could lead with just a handful of total searches. The main reason this would happen is that the searches of other people are split across more specific tags/fetishes/etc. Transgender might be leading with only 2% of searches because even a non-majority fetish like anal could be split across a bunch of things whereas if you combined them all manually it might be 10% and thus would easily lead. Another factor would be people searching for specific porn stars. Or just looking at the leaderboards or whatever. The "average man" looking for a hot chick with big tits, for example, would not need to search via terms if the site is automatically presenting him this. This would drag the actual majority of users out of the search responses. 

All this is why more specific fetishes always lead all the country/states maps they make. I imagine if they actually did something by hours viewed the tags would probably resolve quite differently and be more mundane. But that's not why they make these maps and charts, "men like to look at tits" doesn't get attention.

Indie Fund is a coalition of multiple investors though. If your argument is that we should disassociate from anyone that associates with Jonathan Blow, then all the Indie Fund investors should as well.
