Honestly, no. I'll give you the truth of it. I'm caring for 4 disabled people who will be dying shortly, most of my family. Along with my wife who's also disabled and developed a similar disability myself this year which has made the latter harder ofc. I found out today my mums best friends husband is off to Asia to likely diddle kids. I'm just about done with reality and gaming was my escape.

Seeing the trailer for my fav hobby, and the big one, being a man burning alive while people fuck just....didn't sit right. It kind of told me my escape won't be what I wanted anymore and I'll find a new hobby to hide away in. I get people wanna dunk and go for it, I couldn't care less as I'll be deleting my account as soon as I figure out how to message a mod.

If nothing else, I just wanna voice my support for the gay, trans and disabled posters on this site one last time. My thoughts will always be with you, and anyone else looking forward to the game I hope you enjoy it, but this industry and world just aint for me no more. I also wanna say thanks for your concern, but it ain't worth it

Speaking only for myself, I am honestly fine with moving on from Jesse as playable protagonist temporarily. They clearly want to do a different style of combat and core gameplay for Resonant to prevent things from getting stale, and people would ALSO be pissed if they brought Jesse back and then completely transformed the combat loop into a melee-centric action game, taking away her focus on telekinetics and firearms. So they're squaring the circle by making a game with a different character who supports that gameplay while also leaving room for another game with Jesse's combat loop to be preserved in the future.



Honestly, there's nothing they could've done that would've made everyone happy. If they just made Control 1 again, people would complain because it's another PS4->PS5 "basically DLC" sequel. If they kept Jesse as the playable character but changed the core combat into a melee game, the people who liked the shooter mechanics would be mad. If they changed protagonists but KEPT the core combat, people would be mad because Jesse got replaced.



Don't get me wrong: I want to see Jesse and Emily (and Darling) again, and I'm sure that most of them will be in this in some form, but it is a little surprising to see the pivot. If what they're building toward is a third game with both Faden siblings working together and supporting each other with gameplay features and mechanics unique to them, I think that's a pretty cool direction to go.

Control was one of my favorite games of the past decade and to see the sequel be so... how it is is really upsetting. Even if they have Jesse as a dual protagonist (which wouldn't surprise me, given Alan Wake has that and dual protags seem to be all the rage these days with RE9 too) it doesn't wash the bad taste out of my mouth.



Maybe for Control 3 they'll right the ship.

Lara croft's new design feels like the perfect compromise between the two divided camps. She has a very pretty face that looks very realistic, but her boobs aren't big, and her ass is kinda flat, so her body type should be a lot less likely to be seen as "oversexualized"

Yassified Lara face sucks, everything else looks cool AF.

All respect to the artists but the face looks like she just got out of getting a full face lift and full face botox. Incredibly sad with how forward thinking her design was in the Survivor saga. I can't believe the tweet of a Yassified Lara is real. Will keep playing the survivor saga and watching the Netflix show which I think are much better versions of Lara visually speaking.

It's not even about the face but about her whole design and animation.
