Games that try to appeal to the lizard brain that exists in us all have always existed, do currently commonly exist, and will always exist. The fact that they see this as some great act of rebellion, or that attitudes that show respect to women and how they're portrayed are somehow a bad thing, is all just very immature, and rather weak and pathetic.

Folks like attractive characters, no one is fighting against that, the core of the issue is when it's seen as default to oversexualize female characters, or that when they aren't depicted in that way, it's somehow a bad thing, or that something is being taken away from gamers. The first thing I'd do if I owned Resetera is create one account with AI that very politely spoke honestly about no-no opinions.  "Actually, there seems to be convincing evidence that m-f trans athletes actually do have an advantage in sports."   "Hrmm, you bring up a great point, but we can't discount a prevalence of black fatherlessness in the home as part of this issue, but great points all around!"  I'd make the block, ban, delete-post, ignore buttons non-functional on this one account, but the mods wouldn't know about it - so they'd constantly try to ban them and it would tell them they're banned even though it did nothing and nobody could ignore them, either.  Then I'd unleash this extremely polite, seemingly innocuous but honest account on the forum and have them post a max of twice a day, and see if it completely destroys the place and leaves it in abandoned ruins.  "We gotta start a new forum.  This one account is DESTROYING this place!" Computers did replace a lot though.



Used to be in order to design a skyscraper you needed a team of dozens of drafters (architects/engineers etc.) hand drawing in-person together in studios. It wasn't even that long ago in the grand scheme of things. With CAD, you may only need a couple of people with a computer. Numerous people got replaced.



Same with animation. Computers as it turned out are much more efficient at creating animated works than hand drawing is.



It's funny how people will bake in technologies they grew up with as "normal" but technologies introduced mid way through their life are considered a "perversion."



Eventually, the people who resist AI will look kind of silly - like boomers who swore off the internet and smart phones.



I think for a lot of young millenials and gen z AI is the first big tech advancement that is going to disrupt your already established life versus innovations that you grew up on and therefore always saw as normal.
