I couldn't really put my finger on why I felt down after watching Avatar: Fire and Ash on Friday, but after a second viewing yesterday, I felt down and depressed again. The world of Pandora is so vibrant, fantastic, and real to me when watching, my brain just sort of accepts that it's real and I stop trying to reconcile what I'm seeing on the screen with the world outside. Then when the movie's over and I step out into our grey industrialized dystopia on our very own paradise planet that we take for granted more and more each day... to say it's a real bummer is an understatement, and it just makes me want to be back in Pandora. Thinking back to 2022 seeing TWoW, I also felt this way immediately after, but couldn't nail down why until now. These are special films, there surely won't be anything else like them.

When people say this they're obviously talking about the people who were smart enough to know trump is a horrific piece of shit who should never be in power, but were still dumb enough to gamble with the election.

the epstein files contain literally all content with regard to epstein, including fake reports and false leads, for example there's also a video that's a computer render of epstein committing suicide, which was sent to the FBI by a qanon guy asking "chat is this real" (it was not, but it's still in the files)

there was even speculation that the page about trump rape was heavily unredacted on purpose as a trap for the media/social media to seize on and start freaking out about, so they could show all the evidence that the issue was raised and debunked and dropped long ago, in order to cast doubt on all the rest of the epstein files as well

One of my favorite talking points around this is that we need the files released so we can prosecute the people in them... like, uh, how exactly do you think this works? The people in charge of prosecuting are the ones who made the files and are releasing them. How do you think they prosecuted Epstein before?

Overall the more files are released the more confusing this case gets. It also seems to have been set-up this way, skirting the line, plausible deniability until some people fucked up. What is clear is that Epstein and Ghislaine were a fetish couple and Prince Andrew was a pedo but it ain't as easy as: "Chomsky met Epstein he must've raped a bunch of kids". I think it was sexual trafficking of minors in some cases and fairly benign barely adult waitresses serving drinks or massaging feet at a party in other cases. Depending on how much you were into the lifestyle and how close you were to Epstein. All in all a difficult case to prosecute a picture of Clinton in a pool looks suspicious but isn't evidence of anything.

edit: I think a lot of people underestimate the possibility that Epstein truly got deep into the ultra criminal shit after his financier lifestyle collapsed from the Great Recession and his first conviction. That's too much of a "normal" criminal story though versus an elaborate implausible conspiracy.

Era and Reddit constantly bitch about using AI for concept art, voice acting or what not, because "think of the artists" and "clankers are taking our jerbs" and what not, or claim that AI doesn't work to begin with and therefore companies shoot themselves in the foot by using it.
