I've long had the impression that law enforcement just never bothered to follow up on any leads implicating people aside from Maxwell and Epstein himself. With the type of clientele involved (Presidents, billionaires, foreign heads of state and royalty), I imagine any investigations were under heavy pressure not to dig too deeply and keep the focus narrow.

I really feels like when it comes down to it, this is occam's razor. These people are really this stupid. When you surround yourself by nothing but yes men, this is what you get.

Someone online brought up a great point. The Epstein postcard implicating Trump slipped through because you can't "Ctrl F Trump" to strike his name from it so they didn't catch it.

Ultimately there will be two big stories out of this. 1) Trump, a sitting president being a Pedo. 2) The cover up allowing this to happen and the failure to bring people to justice

I think the latter will end up being the bigger story and it's going to rock people to the core. Not just the extent of all thisbut the sheer volume of people involved in it. I can somewhat imagine what it took to not make these tips public sooner, because it really did a number on these girls, and some of them sound incoherent and stressed while they wrote their testimonies. A lot of tips in the documents came around 2020, so it can be dismissed by the cons as "political agenda" and "fake news", but it lines up with the death of the bastard, and people being more brave to come forward.

Make no mistake... Ghislaine Maxwell scouted these girls, she picked up vulnerable immigrants, she took them to Epstein under the guise of work, drugged them, and then abuse and beat them and threatened them with death (with some actually murdered, and in one case with Trump being the witness to the murder), and forced them to become Epstein's "girlfriends". Maxwell needs to rot in prison.

Every accusation really is a fucking admission. This is about to get far, far darker than we as a society are ready for. And, worst of all, everything in these files is going to be talked about so much that the horror will be drained from it for a lot of people. For them, it will just be a scandal to revel in.

These type of people when defeated just shut up at some point when they got nothing supporting them, like a rapist in office. Yeah, that's a good question. Why would a fake letter be part of "the Epstein files"? Then again, why would a real letter that was written after he was imprisoned and sent to somebody else? I kind of feel like neither scenario makes complete sense.

There's a lot of good reasons to believe the letter is not the right one. But then if DoJ was trying to cover anything up, why would they release this? How would there be a postmark at all? Where would DoJ have gotten it?

Yeah, either way, this is opening up more questions than answers, and DoJ needs to be brought forward to answer a LOT of questions.

- Someone in NY creates a fake letter, puts the return address down poorly but it does end up back at Epstein jail
- This is noticed and handed to the feds as they are involved in his death investigation

To me it's obvious they've been releasing exactly what they want when they want, which is why they led with Clinton/Gates/anyone but Trump stuff. It wouldn't be shocking to me if they purposefully release misleading information about Trump only to prove it fake later as a ploy to further control the narrative. Anything more substantial that mentions Trump released later can then be easily dismissed by his base as being like the letter.

I know Maxwell is in prison but good grief what were the authorities doing for decades with this stuff. Epstien got lucky once to get a sweet heart deal and eventually put in prison, I don't know how that would have played long term, I don't even remember what they got him for the second time.

I don't personally think so; this isn't some "4d chess" move to me. They clearly are doing a controlled leak of information, I don't think anyone would disagree with that. They've had these files for many months knowing they may be forced to release them. They've been working on controlling this information for as long almost certainly.

The next dump will be full of stuff about Trump most likely, conveniently released after they let this "fake news" run amok for half a day only to scold people to remind them there's fake stuff in there.

I'll point out, too, that DoJ claim there were 200 employees working on digging out these files. I think it's fairly likely that there are some of those folks that are on both sides of this. I hate to think there's any politicization involved here with the rank and file who'd rather just do their jobs without interference, but it seems like the haphazard nature of everything is more because you have some people who want everything out there and others who want to pick and choose to protect the powerful.

So did the FBI actually conduct an investigation into the letter or not? You can't just say it seems fake so that confirms it's fake. This administration is beyond embarrassing and incompetent.
