However, just because of where it came from does not mean we should dismiss the actual racism, and pretend that it is not incredibly bigoted and hurtful. As a black person I was initially very concerned about the war, but almost immediately all of the racist info and news started coming out of Ukraine and I just kind of stopped caring after that.

You can only care about mass civilian suffering from an illegal invasion for a war that is to snuff out Ukraine's existence and live under the Russian boot, under certain conditions?

Does this logic process of yours also apply to others, like the Palestinian genocide when you hear all the anti-LGBT policy and actions that goes on there by Hamas and PA then?

I can see that this is a very difficult subject for this forum. People take any criticism of Azov as an attack on Ukraine and get hyper defensive and start hurling accusations and insults at the poster rather than engage with the issue itself. Nazis are either a small part of the Ukrainian army that can be easily removed or they aren't.


As for why we should care, our tax dollars are funding a group that hates us non-white people and has trained American and European white nationalists to come back and harm us.


The solution is for donor countries to force Ukraine to remove Azov. That's it. No one is calling for the abandonment of Ukraine here. And no, this doesn't need to wait until the war ends. Based on what people have said in this thread Azov is a very small part of the army.

So my son is playing Breath of the Wild, and I keep thinking how obvious it is that they removed Wii U gamepad functionality, seemingly last minute.

For one, the Shiekah Slate is very clearly analogous to the Wii U gampad. But most glaringly, the controls for the Divine Beasts are 100% intended to be  changed live, without going into a separate screen. My son is doing the camel, and it is kind of ridiculous how often he has to keep going in and out of the menu to rotate the drums.

It's not the end of the world. The game is still awesome. But I got curious.

So I googled "Wii U Functionality Breath of the Wild" just to see if it's ever been documented officially how much was removed/changed, or if Nintendo even ever copped to it.

I don't know that they removed them because it would make the Switch version seem inferior rather than just flatten out both versions until they're identical. If they wanted to make the Switch version seem better, they could have just made the Wii U version worse.

That said, it's a thing people want in retrospect. I guarantee "gamepad bullshit" would have been the number one complaint about the game had they been retained.
