We all know over the years, you don't post certain "news" sites like the Daily Mail, or something related to a Conservative think tank. RT for example is basically Russian propaganda. FOX news used to be the largest example, but there is more unfortunate competition to them now.

It's just common sense to avoid sources like that.

But alarmingly, it seems as more and more US media outlets are becoming complicit in either hand waving/ignoring the severity of ongoing actions(it isn't new, as they have done it before, but the level of it has increased significantly) by the current(and possibly future) administration, or can be considered propaganda for them.

People demanding this and that from us that are stuck here doing what they can to fight this regime seem to forget that the US lacks the usual social safety nets that other countries in the world enjoy when it comes to Healthcare and other social services.


There is a real case scenario if someone goes on general strike tomorrow and they would lose much of what they have relatively soon after if it doesn't work. Especially given the rising costs across the board. Most of us are living paycheck to paycheck. There have been numerous threads over time about it. People need their jobs to literally exist here. We have no free healthcare. No safety nets worth a damn. People need money. That includes their rent, their Healthcare, their food, etc. And that is assuming its just that one person. That does not include a family where kids are involved that require so many extra expenditures because kids are not provided for here in the US. School lunch, after-school activities, supplies, etc etc.


So no people are not "complicit" with all of this just because they don't want to lose their jobs, their healthcare, be homeless, and worry about their next meal. There are plenty of us doing what we can where can while also still trying to survive. I've spent literally years attending protests, spreading information as best I can, and just generally doing my best while also living in a shithole like Texas. I am not complicit in any of this. I cannot stand it when Era operates in a black and white vacuum like this.
