Look, everyone's learning how to deal and react to Gen AI usage at the moment so I'm willing to give some benefit of the doubt as people find their way through this massive tech/creative shift. I get it. We all have to learn how to navigate these conversations.

But let's try to take this (and that Fortnite one that resulted in an artist making a video to show their work after a thread) as a lesson in not jumping the gun and shouting AI at everything that doesn't look perfect. Humans make images that aren't perfect, or that echo similar artstyles (to talk to the 'Ghibli style') too.

And just flagging that we also got a number of pretty heated reports about the thread lock 


demanding that we re-open the thread because the image of the lady's thumb was so clearly AI.

Now this might sound a bit dramatic just based on the title.

But over the past few years I have noticed that some of you don't really seem to be enjoying the games you are playing. Yet you still keep going.

- Some talk about feeling burnout trying to 100% open world games.

- Some talk about feeling stress or fomo from not having time to play all the big new titles.

- And some just seem to not enjoy most modern games anymore.

And theres probably other/better examples as well.

So my question is, do you have an unhealthy relationship with games? And if so, why do you keep going?

Well my best friend confirmed everything. I was totally out of it 2021 - 2024. Recovery started mid 2024 and by mid 2025 I was back but not in a place I liked so I took radical action.
He pointed out about 10 or 20 more things that simply stopped during that time.

My reboot is why I had all these memento and deja vu moments about my favorite color being red and stuff. It all came back to me. 

I was literally a JRPG character with Amnesia. Knowing things but not knowing them.

30f unmatched. unclear why. My guess is the weather it prevents them all from going on the road and this wasn't the type of date to move.

Tried a 39f as a replacement but she went from flirty to awful and panicked in a split second when she found out free dinner wasn't in the cards.

I seriously believe all these billionaire tech CEOs became extreme right-wingers after having their midlife crisis and getting over-zealous TRT treatments, leading to divorce of their left-leaning spouses.

In fact, I'd also say that widespread TRT / anabolic steroids abuse is why the police and other law enforcement agencies themselves have become so militarized and worse than ever before.

Not only ignoring them, but then letting said murderous state champion their opposition leaders.
