His government is the one that will approve if there is or not a merger.

Funny how you choose me because I didn’t give you a more detailed explanation.
And ironically, I was also thinking like you (so?) until I thought about it for a second.

this is the problem with basically all modern media: everyone wants to tell THEIR story at the expense of the existing story/characters/fanbase
Witcher, Velma, He-Man, a lot of the latter MCU
by contrast? the sonic movies are shitty kid stuff, but they straight up adapted SA2 for the third film and it worked really well, by sticking to those already-good-enough story beats
at the end of that reddit mod's video, he tells everyone to go to his special new subreddit to form a coalition to fix reddit:
Still slightly less embarrassing than doing it for free.

That's pretty hot and much closer to the original design than I expected. I'm interested now.

Dude didn't even say " She's pretty hot", which could barely be seen "boys club behaviour" (at least to regular people).
"That's pretty hot" is about as offensive as "that's pretty cool". Not even actual sex-negative prudes are this prudish about language.

Do you climb? Have you even gone bouldering? Or do you just hang out near climbers?

If trans era has taught me anything, you don't even need to have ever encountered a climber to declare yourself a climber. Probably better than actual climbers.

I mean, going to a total different direction can work, I seen this in comics, tv show and games.
The thing is that more often than not you should at least respect what it came before, at least if there is a preexisting fanbase.
Using Sonic again as example: those films also took a lot of liberties (specially the first two) including Sonic having part of his personality altered but is clear they took their time to adapt this stuff. Maybe the basic beats are still the same (blue fast hedgehog vs comical evil genius)but they feel sincere compared over other other franchises repeating story beats in almost cynical way (while not offering any sort of complexity in exchange).

I’m going to be blunt and say that many of these producers and screenwriters are not as talented as they think they are. It would be nice if Hollywood allowed to have more original stuff, but I suspect a lot of those stories will still be trite.
