More importantly, Dusk has openly admitted that he knows his leaks hurt the people working on these games. It was his reasoning behind a previous "retirement" but he came back because he doesn't actually care.

Case in point: posting huge spoilers for a game that hasn't even been announced yet. What does that have to do with the marketing of RE9?

This is the entire point of the "Rumor" tag. You literally never actually need to see any of these threads unless you want to. Which makes all the complaining about leaks and rumors silly, you literally never have to see them! We give you the option!

… I had a quarter of a thread getting mad at me because fucking dusk said something before Nate. It just kept fucking happening. I thought just having a Nate thread is more people would take it seriously would be ok. But the posts kept coming.

So I was like "oh I guess after the Leon reveal, people are cool with Dusk I guess." And I thought maybe, just saying a dlc was in the works with x character would have been harmless. I don't play RE, but I figured as long as it's saying a character and not any plot points it would be fine. Typically different character dlc without plot spoilers is fine. The google search said it was the mom who died in another game, but it seemed logical that they might want to take an opportunity to make something with the original character the new one is based on. As long as there's no further context, it's probably fine right?

And last time I took extra steps to not spoil a surprise (the Yakuza Kiwami 3 reveal) I got roasted for trying so hard not to spoil an "obvious surprise". And got roasted for contributing to spoiler phobia. And "marketing spoilers ". So surely, a related character to the main character wouldn't be that big a deal. Surely if there was an opportunity to do a flashback dlc with a character, this would make sense opportunity wise. Right? And people kept getting pissed at me that Dusk already said it. Surely Dusk is on better terms with everyone without looking further at the situation (I guess that's on me).

For the record, I did put in a lock request because I figured enough people were pissed that this thread wasn't worth it. I can't change titles on my own. And the admin head is in this thread I see. So at this point, you all talk to them.

I will take responsibility for not looking into Dusk further. That's on me. But like… everything else. At least understand why after getting roasted in MULTIPLE WAYS why I thought maybe even without the context of Dusk I thought "oh, as long as I don't put plot spoilers or anything in the title, this should be fine. It's not like I'm saying x plot point from RE9 story is being continued in dlc right?"

People just kept roasting me. I was getting fed up. I was like "fine, take this then. Maybe this will get you to shut up since you all listen to Dusk again."

No more Dusk threads. Got it. The message has been received loud and clear. And no more dlc threads no matter what. Got it. Message received.

I guess I sure am glad everyone else here seems to get their AI gospel diluted from randos on Era. it's clearly a great place for authentic, sophisticated and/or casual discourse; and totally a safe place for everyone from experts to enthusiasts to laymen to just share some settings that made good gaming times in a specific context. I should not have to swat and combat fielding from left and right from posters that have an axe to grind.

I'm not trying to damage anyone's hardware I just shared what I did on my end and people can go do their own research on their own, as I won't and I don't work or teach for free.

PS: side note -- copilot/Microsoft's AI models are not impressive.

I'm a huge Govee/Hue Sync power user and lighting designer and I love setups like this. Mine is similar vibes. Every light in my house is syncable to the content of the TVs and music of each floor of the house independently or together and it creates immersion that has killed movie theaters for me completely with my surround sound system and hi-fi equipment and audiovisual tech. How did America descend into this madness so quickly.

You don't know our history if blowing away even white people who resist state oppression and fascism is surprising to you.

America is and always has been a white supremacist project (as has Western Europe for a good deal of its history), and it has always been willing to necessarily sacrifice white opponents to run the experiment.
