Because some women see this as a microaggression, as it's something that they are regularly questioned on and having assumptions made about. That led to it being a topic on social media, which then led to articles being made about it.

Its not just a foot in a mouth situation, its literally constant pressure women without kids deal with every single day.

This is the overall sentiment I've seen from women on social media and the reason I made a thread in the first place. I probably should have expected some of the dismissive responses from a forum with a majority community of men but I guess I expected better.

Agreed. Really not a fan of this "punish the individuals for corporations' failures" approach. Many child protection charities, such as the NSPCC in the UK, have voiced similar concerns/opinions. It's not like social media is suddenly going to be any less harmful for people when they're 16+.

It actually is. There is data about how much more damaging social media is to children and teenagers. In particular how for example it can make young girls more depressed and suicidal. This is all data that exists and that Meta has and does nothing about. They are ghouls.
