Gotta love how they have to dance around it because if not it'll be an instant month+ vacation.

The mods and their clique of mentally ill forum activists ran most of the userbase out of the forum. That's why threads are much smaller on era nowadays. NPD threads, game show threads, game tournament threads, etc used to be way way bigger.

The sonypony mods on gaming side cleared that place out of any dissenting voices. 

I imagine whatever ad revenue era's masters make nowadays must be a tiny fraction of what it was pre-2020

A lot of gaming threads have similar amounts of activity on GAF and Era now. 25 vs 28 pages on Hunters Gathering for example.

The funny thing is Era will agree that activity has dropped precipitously but will blame bad actors causing various communities to leave in droves and that if they just ban harder it’ll get better. The fact that they banned anyone interesting, fun and creative is a coincidence.

And half the posts are "Fuck this......*insert topic of OP*", drive by posts. They can't even be bothered to say what exactly is wrong with person/game either.

If you took out all the drive by and virtue signaling posts you'd have even fewer pages.

I'm surprised no one argued to remove that character. Not only makes it your game a blatant target, it's hardly a character I can imagine people truly desire to see. Even on Resetera I have not seen anyone excited about that character. On top of that, the design of the character is just completely inconsistent with the rest of the designs, her head is so tiny it looks absurd.

I guess either someone from the higher ups truly believes into this 400 pound woman or they'd be afraid that if they remove her someone leaks it to the press and it causes a "Sony removes overweight woman from game" scandal

The fascism has been visible within technological spaces for awhile for anyone who has been paying serious attention, so this little revelation slipping out was fully believable. Prey on them early and often, and get them to see abuse as compassion. Video games are the perfect insidious vector for this.

When you start to see a ton of modern video game and technological design as reflections and systemizations of abuse and oppression, it isn't much of a shock/leap in logic to see the broader culture-at-large begin to bend to the abusive psychic environments.
