I don't think this should be about calling out any specific member but I think in general there's an almost natural drive to make more negatively leaning threads than positive ones. Not that I checked but I bet we have more threads about "character designs you hate" than "character designs you love" and the former tend to get more engagement too.

What I've learned in years of marketing and customer service:
- People who are positive but not effusive tend to be quietly positive
- People who are negative tend to be effusive and find like minded people that think like they do, often to the point where they think they represent the larger market (a common criticism of Era as a whole, especially from those who work in the industry)

Plus, I think we all know that a lot of times people are positive negative threads because they are trying to validate some viewpoint that they have. It's why OPs often abandon threads when they backfire, or request they are closed.

I'm sure the data has changed as social media has grown, but back when I was school, the statistic we were told was that a happy customer tells 1 person about their experience and an unhappy customer tells 10 people about their experience.

The most it's changed is that those 10 unhappy customers now seek each other out to all talk about how much that company sucks, is out of touch and how no one likes them anymore.

Honestly, it's less bots and more the way the algorithms are currently configured. This has been known since the Facebook Files came out and showed how these companies have their algorithms set to force us into conflicts with each other so that we stay on the platform and argue and earn them money. In the before times, the internet was ruled by fandom stuff. Hell, for a long time people thought that BuzzFeed had figured out the internet. They used quizzes and games and happy fandom stuff to generate money for a newsroom that literally won awards and broke major stories. Then the algorithms came and changed all that almost overnight.

I know I keep pointing to the Facebook Files, but if you want to really understand why the modern internet is the way it is you need to read those articles.

I also hope you realize that many people also treat lesbians and gay men poorly, with lesbians to this day treated as women who haven't found the "right man" (or worse rhetoric about "fixing" lesbians) or have sexualities treated as little more as a fetish for men; which can make the mentality that many of us aren't really what we believe we are quite hurtful, that people within the LGBTQ+ community see us calling ourselves lesbians and assume we must have an asterisk next to it and we're just confused quite frustrating.
