I also hope you realize that many people also treat lesbians and gay men poorly, with lesbians to this day treated as women who haven't found the "right man" (or worse rhetoric about "fixing" lesbians) or have sexualities treated as little more as a fetish for men; which can make the mentality that many of us aren't really what we believe we are quite hurtful, that people within the LGBTQ+ community see us calling ourselves lesbians and assume we must have an asterisk next to it and we're just confused quite frustrating.

I feel echoes is mixing two forms of discrimination here to obfuscate the issue of being a self declared Trans Woman that heavily and openly fetishes lesbians (so contributing to the issue that he claims to have  ). 

The make believe approach that transbians use to try to get their way is another reason why they are losing the patience of the wider LGBQ community.

I know the thread title sounds a bit condescending, but this is coming from a place of genuine curiosity. Language is fluid and weird and changes constantly, so I'm not as concerned with right vs wrong here as much as understanding what people who say "merry-o" think when they hear it pronounced "mah-ree-o" in pretty much all official contexts.

I know that for some people with strong regional accents, they literally can't hear/differentiate between certain vowel sounds being said differently by people without their same accent. Take this thread, for example. You had people with strong southern accents in there finding out for the first time in their lives that "pen" and "pin" are not pronounced the same, and even when they heard someone saying both words clearly side-by-side with the different vowel sounds they couldn't detect it.

Is that what it's like with people who say "merry-o?" Can they not hear the difference between how they say it and how Mario himself and pretty much everyone else "correctly" pronounces the Italian name Mario? Or can they hear the difference and just choose to say it differently anyway, knowing that it's not technically the correct pronunciation?

If you're a "merry-o" person, please chime in here. I'd love to hear your perspective.

Is he saying that he thought he might be attracted to men but after soul searching realized no, he's attracted to women like a normal male? So did he decide he's a woman first and think "I must be attracted to men then" and this confused him because he wasn't attracted to men?

It's amazing the lack of self-awareness and the belief that all this nonsensical navel gazing about one's sexual hang-ups is some kind of important thing that means everything and must dictate how other people should be forced to treat you. Imagine if someone talked this much about how important their being straight is and how much they think about the concept of being straight. (Oh wait, transbians do.)

After living through several eras of games that sexualize women in every dang manner possible (even/especially young women), Capcom makes a game with a young girl with (and I hate even typing this but) gorgeous features, a new-to-the-world and naive and adorable personality, no pants (or wearing the same oversized shirt + short shorts combo Lily's got), a completely covered-up "father-figure" where she often visibly sits on your back and POV-smiles and bats her big eyes at the screen....

I feel a pretty big difference between the approach taken between Natalia and Diana. One looks like she came out of a haunted doll house, and the other has (again: RAAAuauauuuughghghghskdfjgksd 🥴 ) has that "born pretty/naive yesterday" (I'm not even typing the real name) trope all over it where she gets to be mature/helpful AND learn about funny people-things like high-fives. ✋🥹 (And if THIS feels like a stretch, then ask yourself why she isn't a boy-robot :P ).
